i have a question
for example

Germany has a sub in the North Sea and AC with two figters in Baltic
UK has 1 bat and 5 subs in North Atlantic Seazone

is it possible for UK to attack German sub in North Sea with its 2 subs,  and then attack German fleet i Baltic with 1 bat and 3 subs

in my Japan game i would try to avoid in any way buying the IC, transports and land units from Japan and the neighboring islands are enough to deal with China, Sinkiang, Buryatia and India, because there are also 5 fighters(one fell in Hawaii) and 1 bomber; not to mention two battleships

it depends where do you want to unload your troops
are you going to  land them in Africa-Mediterranian, or Norway- Karelia-Archangelsk
but one carrier is enough(16 IPC)
and you have then:
1 bat
1 des
1 AC
2 fig
1 sub
4 tra

but always look first where the Luftwaffe is; so you don`t get surprised

your units from west US could come to Moscow in 5th turn-but it is not a good idea from two reasons
1:the units need 5 turns to come to Moscow
2:Japan player can easily attack US Navy if it moves towards Japan in the first rounds

what i advice to you when playing US is to mass a large navy suported with air units and afcorse you should have at least 1-2 trainies and a few
infantry

that how the Japan player would have to deal in Mainland Asia in pacific against you and if the UK has a navy in pacific which can if necesserally join with yours than Japan faces threats on all sides

and when playing Russia buy infantry only-that how you wont have much attacking potential, but you will hold one, maybe two turns more-and it´s not a small thing

i also think that its very hard to defend India in the first turn when you build IC there

but if you can do this than IC in India is not a bad idea-but there is something more, you have to be able to prevent Japanese transports to land several or even more troops in French Indochina and India

you have to have a navy that can threat Japan, otherwise IC in India is not a solution to your problems, it just delays your doom

i think that UK has to do at least something in the pacific

it isnt easy, beacuse of the Japan´s Arsenal but UK has a potential there

there are hundreds of possibilities so just make few and choose the best and then try

i´ve tried it lots of times but with NA, these how is much easier because i have Colonial Garrison but i still had excellent results
i think that building a navy in the pacific with UK is a fine move-now its just to the player to choose one of the many possibilities-that´s why i like UK-in each game you can play something new

just think about it, you will come up to dozens of excellent ideas

ok i ll just say that with USA i wouldnt leave the pacific

if you don´t attack Japan at all, in only a few turns Japan will be receiving around 45 IPC

and Germany can defend pretty well on all its fronts beacuse of its giant military and economic power
it would be tough, but the defences would hold

i just want to say-from my point of view(correct me if i am wrong) that abandoning any serious attacks and counterattacks on Japan forces against a very experienced German player who can hold off and the Japanese who can spread rapidly leads to perdiction

and the game is on 9VC, not 10
so if Russia goes down…

i don´t understand how if you play on global domination the axis have(7-0)

even if the German player goes for Moscow and in later turns(6,7 or 8th) is able to take it you have enourmous possibilities of creating a large navy(s) in both atlantic and pacific

that means that you can unload dozens of units on German territories before Moscow is down and that you can defend from and later on attack or counterattack Japan forces in land, sea an air

do you play with biding or not?

and if you can in short terms tell me what do you do with each allie in first 2 rounds , only in first 2 rounds

when i play with my friends on the battle board we play with all six weapons devealopment and with all the national advantages

then you really enjoy playing a game, you have thousands of possibilites but also if you are for example German you really enjoy harrasing with you Panzer Divisions or U-Boats, with Japan your Banzai and Kamikaze are great for you, not to mention Russian Winter and so on…

these how the game is more a game

but without National Advantages (or even without weapons devealopment-which i don´t understand why you remove from tournaments) the game is more ˝a chess˝ than just a game
but if you want to practice your brain…

yes, but like ncscswitch says the board is great

i hope that i will soon buy it

because the pieces are so great, for example japan tank and artillery

but playing on the battle map is also good

not good like on the battle board but…

Yea they are the samething.  Russia I heard is awesome with the rockets tech, its definately worth buying rockets with Russia.  Also for Japan, super subs is good, since they need a potent but cheap navy in case they lose some naval pieces.  I dont know about the other techs.

i am playing one game over flames-of-europe and i have a problem

when i go to download the map it opens me new map from the 1st edition

but when i use the battle map by myself i can normally save and later on open

but when downloading map it wont open

can someone please help me

ok i am just saying that germany can take moscow, hold berlin and rome while waiting for Japan to finish the work

but yes in this if you want to call it KGF Germany doesnt have much stocks

but Germany has Japan which is by each turn growing bigger and bigger……
