1. aircraft carrier has 2 fighters and moves 2 spaces to battle. are the fighters then involved in the battle? or is it just the aircraft carrier? if they are not involved in the battle, in the non-combat move can they then move another 2 spaces ??

2. can you buy an industrial complex at the beginning of your turn, then at the end of your turn put it on any territory (that you’ve own from the start of your turn) with your other new pieces?

well, i am not some expert but i see youre online

1.if the carrier moves fighters with it, then they MUST join the battle,  if you choose to not move the fighters then they stay ˝in air˝ on the place where aircraft carrier originaly was. they can move from there either to combat, either to noncombat in noncombat phase

2.yes and no. you can put it in any territory you owned since the start of your turn
but you cant put your new pieces there in that round

thanks switch, i thaught that the allies can take any Russian territory no matter do they have to attack Germany or Japan for it, i should read rulebook more carefully :-)

the German naval dominance can be done but if German player does just a small mistake in first 2-3 rounds considering naval moves it can fall down easily and Berlin with it, but if it surprises the opponent and not to many mistakes are done than it can work

personally i like to spend German IPC to naval power, maybe i sometimes overexagarate but i have an impression that Germany has to fight a sea war(not in every case, if USA and UK go fully on naval power than no, but if not (as in the vast majority of games)then there is some space for Germany in the Atlantic and the surounding seas
thats just my opinion :-)

Fourth, in most situations, Japan owns at least half of Africa and there are also some German European territories that are Russian owned that the Allies will not be able to collect on so the income difference is usually closer than 102/64.

altough i agree with you i still have to correct this,
correct me if i am wrong but i think that the rulebook says if the country(in this case Russia)lost its capital its aliies can capture its territories and use its IC until the capital(Moscow)is liberated

and speaking of the odds
i am playing a game against 4th Mac and its just the case you are speaking here,

switch you say it can be done but i need Africa and the IPCs, i dont have troops in Africa and i ve collecte 59 in the last round but i am still holding out(altough my opponent is superior to me under this situation, and he plays very well :-)

but dont give me advices, i dont want to (if i do) win in not a fair play way

1st question:

˝If the original controller’s capital is in enemy hands at the end of the turn in which you would otherwise have liberated the territory, you capture the territory, collect income from the newly captured territory and can use any industrial complex there until the original controller’s capital is liberated. You also take ownership of any antiaircraft gun in that territory. ˝

-if i understood this good you can build in Caucaus if the allies(Russia)owned it at the beginning of your either UK or USA turn
-but if Caucaus was in Axis hands at the begining of your turn and you capture it than you can build but not in that same round :-)

2nd question:
Russia can build in Caucaus if it has some money, but not in Moscow; but as newpaintbrush said its only theoretically that Russia can have some money in this situation

lets say Germany has 1 tra in East Med, 1 tra in Red Sea and 1 inf in India
Germany controls Anglo Egypt-Sudan but the allies have Trans-Jordan in possesion with 1 UK inf

-i attack Trans-Jordan with 1 inf from India(using the Red Sea tra), and i send aircraft to that battle and i won in Trans-Jordan with 1 inf

-so can i then attack Kenya using the tra in East Med, beacuse now i control the canal

so what i want to say is that can i when i am declaring my attacks, say that i ll attack Trans-Jordan and that i will attack Kenya if the first battle goes well, like when attacking Anglo-Egypt on ˝Germany 1˝ when there is a destroyer present in the waters and the tra cant unload until the destroyer is defeated; but the attack on Anglo-Egypt  can be pronounced altough it is maybe  never going to happen

2. buy 10 Inf G1, 10 Art G2, 10 Arm (or 8 depending on succes) on G3, and pray you break Russia   (tried that yesterday, and was wiped…  But to my defense i must say that out of 18 2´s i only hit 3, and russia hit a lot better.)

i think that this want pass especially if Russia buy lots of infantry, if it goes for thanks, artillerys than you have a chance

Africa isnt esential to win the game with the Allies

-it can help a lot to posses most of (or even intire)Africa but there are alternatives to ˝Africa thing˝

I don’t very often. I like that bomber in on whatever battle I feel a desire to put some overkill on. Mine also seems to get shot down by AA a lot (okay seems like a lot) and you need aircraft on the Eastern Front.

i understand you, its true you need it more in the Eastern front but UK needs it even more for inf to fill its transports with

well we all have diferent views about overall strength and potentials of axis and overall strength and potentials of the allies.

in the last site games the common thing was an axis 5-7 IPC bid

-as i track those games in almost all the axis won, so :-)…
