      and all this using ˝facist˝ word is simply ridiculous

      facist were in Italy only, lead by Benito Mussolini and wanted to expand over Croatia, Albania, Slovenia, Etiopia…
      and put race laws and discriminate non-Italian nations

      this was facism

      and this using of the term Fascism that is used nowadays is ridicolous,
      in my country nobody speaks about antinacizam, but of so called ˝antifascism˝

      so now everything that isnt good by someones opinions is called facism

      and then related to some knew stuff

      it just misses someone says that canibals were facists

      if people so desperately want to use it, neverthelles facism hasnt had anythin with  Nazis and Muslims but Italians then it should be put ˝fascism˝
      this how it may mean something different( altough that ˝fascism˝ and ˝antifacism˝ are an artifical creation created by some liberal schoolars and by some eminent figures of 20th century, dont forgot to mention communists, they have contributed a lot to the creation of term ˝antifacism˝ ) otherwise it simply doesnt stands.

      the thing is that politicians in mine, your and other countries use this slang to show the history, or current doing like they would like to, and they dont have much good intensions

      we should not fall for it so easy, on this media bombardment :x  :-(

      @Terror:

      Thanks Amon  :-D

      I’ll try it out and feedback with the results, but with all your help I’m sure I’ll show my buddy a thing or 2 :wink:

      when you see yourself with Japan surrounded on all sides, dont panic, and dont try for fast solutions

      calm down, think about your strategy and patienly start to develop yourself, soon you ll find yourseldf ( along with Germany ) attacking on 2 allies, maybe even 3

      and yes from land units buy inf only, ok maybe a tenk or two to help you
      with your figs
      you re be able to attack Yakut, China, India, maybe even Sinkiang, Persia…

    • RE: Importance of Japan

      Hey Terror!

      you say you have problems with USSR stacking in Buryatia

      in first round buy 3 tra, 2 inf
      attack heavily on Hawaii, and make sure you re left with enough units to sucessfully defend there
      attack heavily on China

      in second round

      Attack Heavily on Buryatia
      go for Sinkiang only if you have to move an inf or 2

      fortify French Indochina

      then i suggest, if USA is goin after you, you start buildin your subs and figs

      with one of the tras you should take Australia and French Madagascar before USA moves closer to you
      fortress yourself in China and French Indochina
      you dont need to capture Sinkiang and India but if opportunity arrives go for it
      i would advise before USA moves towards you you offload your Japan units to French Indochina where you can buy an IC( or Kwangtung, or Manchuria ) even China, if you are able to

      its important you have your navy rallyied around your Bats, and ACs  :wink:

      and be creative, this war with USA however similar the situation seems almost always requires new solutions, or something new

    • RE: Some units are overpriced

      @ncscswitch:

      Here is a good time to buy BOMs as the Axis…

      Japan has an INF stack plus ART and ARM poised for a strike on Moscow.  You ALMOST have enough force to launch the battle, you just need to get the last ARM and INF into position this turn.

      NOTHING you buy in Japan (or FIC or Manch or India) is going to be able to impact that battle except one thing… BOMBERS bought this turn CAN reach Moscow for your attack next turn.

      I have had that situation come up more than once.  And adding 3 or 4 BOMs to the Japan strike force that Russia was not expecting can be VERY advantageous to the Axis.

      i ve done it, at least once :wink:

      but still switch its an exception, an excpetion which confirmes the standings, and the standings are that bombers simply arent economic

      @Jennifer:

      2)  Keep the cost 12, but give all destroyers combined bombardment without needing the technology.

      excellent idea, so far when buyin des it wasnt a very good move,( unless needed against subs ),subs/ACs, figs are simply better ,
      this how it can be worth a lot if you are able to destroy land units whit it, it wouldnt be strong in the sea, but strong against land units
      and that would force you opponent to think on strikin your navy
      so Japans 100+ IPC worth navy wouldnt walkin around, as it is in many games

    • RE: Importance of Japan

      @Jennifer:

      A) Target Enemy Industrial Complexes has hard and as fast as you can.  If England builds an IC in India, seriously consider hitting it with everything you can, even if you cannot take China or Buryatia and even if you have to sacrifice a fighter to get an infantry unit to remain after the battle in India.  Same for Industrial Complexes in Sinkiang. (Target India, then go for Sinkiang., India can produce faster and has an AA Gun.)

      B)  Slow down.  There is no rule in the game that says you HAVE to target everything possible.  Remember, you arn’t earning a lot of money for a long time as Japan.  Focus on getting stacks into Sinkiang, Persia, and if feasible, Novosibirsk, but make sure they are stacks!

      C)  There’s some argument on placement, but 3 Industrial Complexes for Japan is good.  I like India, FIC and Manchuria.  Some like India, FIC and E. Indies. (I just think the island, while better located, ties up your transports.)

      D)  Ignore America for the most part.  After you sink the SZ 52 fleet, most Americans are going to attack Germany.

      E)  Grab Hawaii, New Zealand, Australia and Madagascar. Maybe position a transport in S. Africa to hit Brazil, if you think you can get away with it. (ie, America is at least 2 turns away from hitting Brazil and getting it back.)

      F)  7 Transports by turn 4 minimum.  8 is better and I’d even argue 9.  Reason being is you want transports to clear your islands while landing 8 land units a round off the Japan mainland until you get ICs up.  After that, you want transports to hit Africa if the Allies go there.

      That’s very rough, but I hope you got the idea.

      well partner, seems like we share same thoughts about Japan

      so, i can play it next time

      do we have a deal?!  :wink:

      You need only to declare that you will move the Carrier in order to pick the fighter in the non combat move.

      so i dont have to specify the SZ

    • A naval situation

      Japan attack Pearl on Jap1

      it sends 3 figs in that battle of which only one has a ground landing point

      do i as playin Japan have to move the AC to Solomons in COMBAT MOVE PHASE  to pick up the figs
      or i am not obligatory to do this

      just to leave ACs in range to pick up the figs in NONCOMBAT

      thank you in advance

      No one build destroyers? Why? It prevents subs first strike, protects transports from lone fighters and only cost 12 IPCs … My most used UK1 is IC, destroyer and 1 inf. Can anyone explain me why no one build destroyers?

      It doesnt pay off to buy DD’s, thats why hardly no one buys them…. :mrgreen:

      @Romulus:

      I like the initial idea of Frood!!!

      It should be very fun to have Tactical Bomber aircrafts (like Stuka, B-25, Ju88, A-26, Sturmovik, etc…).
      They may cost 12, have an attack of 4 and a defence of 1, have a range of 4. They did not have the ability to SBR but they may land on an aircraft carrier. Each carrier may have max 1 TacBomber, or 2 Fighter (Dauntless, Val, Kate, etc…) . Tac Bomber in naval battle could be vary fun! t make the think more balanced at this point maybe we can lower the fighters attack value (attack 2 and defense 4).

      Mmmmmm… too much rules to manage???

      my opinion is that by doing that the game would complicate a bit at least

      its essential that this game can be played in 6-7 hours

      and should be a game in which you have to think

      but i wouldnt move in the direction of chess or some other game

      fun should  be the best element of this game

      so i agree with you folks

      Larry Harris and his team could in next LHTR rearange IPC costs of units

      becacuse its obvious on this forum( league, tournament )
      and i am sure here we have some which are among best players in the world

      that nobody, almost never buys Des or Bom, i mean almost never

    • RE: Some units are overpriced

      @Flashman:

      You have to factor in the SBR risk; a major deterrant to using bombers to SBR is the cost of replacing losses by AA fire. Lower that cost and the Allies might consider that pulverising Germany and Japan from the air is an easier strategy than complicated invasions.

      but then the game would turned just to bombing Axis factories

      which doesnt seem interesting at all

      a balanced forces attack is what should it be, at least that more or less all units are of similar cost-effectivity
