I have double sets of Italy & ANZAC (brown/gray in German/UK sculpts, respectively) from the Europe/Pacific 1940 1st editions.
Are these worth anything since those games are out of print? Or do you think they will be worth anything?
I want to sell some of my pieces to make room for some of the new sculpts but I’m not sure if I sell them now, or sit on them. Any advice?

Who here has done this? How similar are the shades of green? They seem like they’d be cool as cheap USA units or just alternate stances of normal infantry. Any input would be appreciated!
I’m seeing references to “bids”… is that just giving one side or another extra pieces at the start of the game, or what?

Those are some interesting pieces. I like the locomotives.
I enjoy rolling D12’s more than D6’s because they feel more random to me. Is there anyplace online where I can get D12’s numbered 1-6 to play Axis & Allies with?
(Not to mention that it looks like a fun game as well…)

Unfortunately, they only come in black and red, but hey, if you enjoy painting your pieces, you might really get a kick out of some of these sculpts!

Alternatively, you could just use the bright-red barrels (neutral color) as “Gasoline” resources, perhaps even locally on the board using chips to show how much of it there is.

Do you think that on the global scale of Axis & Allies, it would make any difference if you’re invading a territory from MULTIPLE adjacent zones as opposed to just one?
I would imagine that surrounding and then converging upon an enemy territory would be more effective than a frontal assault in a lot of cases, but perhaps that’s “below” the scope of the game. What are your thoughts on the subject? Would a “Flanking” (or whatever you might call it) bonus be too much?
So, Europe 1940 only includes 4 AAA pieces for each country???
Wondering if I should buy the new stuff piecemeal or just get the whole set.

What if, at the start of the game, every nation gets 1 turn of only non-combat movement (no attacks, no income) in the standard order?

Does not make sense. No tactical bombers, plus they didn’t use the new German sub from 1941 or the bomber. Why not use all the new sculpts that they already paid for and include as updated components? Why not include a few of those tiger tanks too?
On top of that Italy has an American Bomber for it’s sculpt…

Actually, if you look carefully, you’ll see that’s a Piaggio P.108 and not a B-17. They do look very similar though… had me fooled as well at first glance!
Oh yeah, the Flying Wing would be sweet.
Which nation(s) would it belong to and would it be a new type of unit or just a cosmetic change?
Personally, I’d love to see the B-29 Superfortress and the Churchill Tank as alternate styles for the USA and UK!
