      I think Larry should change the rules for tech to this: buying dice costs 10, and you have to roll a 6 still, but you can then choose the tech you want. And no tokens either.

      I am not a big fan of J1 attack - I think alot of that money starts heading towards Germany/Italy…and if I am an axis player I want Germany/Italy to not see a green pc of plastic rolling dice against me until US4-5 at the earliest…not US2!!!

      Yunnan gets smoked turn 2 if putting the money there.  If I want it bad enough, I can get the bombers on it.  3 inf, 1 art, 1 fht, 1 tac, 4 bmb will crush it.  Letting the BB go in sz37 won’t help much either.

      I can’t get a stack to survive there early in the game.

      if you wait until turn 2 yunnan has 17inf, 3art, 5fig, 1tac defending it. you could forgo attacking uk bb and attack yunnan but then you take it with 4 units left over so you lose 2planes or 3 planes if you want to hold the territory and let the uk have transports and a bb. if you place the entire 24ipc in yunnan the allies will win.

      Do you mean half of 57 or half of 17? If it’s half of 17, that’s a greater disadvantage to the allies.

      Hello all,

      the 4th “Tournament of Champions” is taking registrations now.

      it is played with triplea free gaming system and uses play by email. however in the past many games have been played real time online if both opponents can meet up.

      No.  They are both automatically destroyed.

      Thanks all for the quick answers!!  Just a point of clarity, I assume that the sub must fight or flee on HIS (the US) combat turn and NOT Japan’s.

      @axis_roll:

      contributing to the problem in the pacific is the inability of UK to effectively help USA.

      It could be something as simple as adding an IC to australia.
      I’ve heard ideas of limited complexes that can be upgraded at a cost.

      Limited like either only ground units or inf only.
      Upgrade to full at $8 or some other dollar cost.

      This enables the allies to help defend / slow the japanese expansion while giving the Americans some land base(s) for bombers.

      There’s a TripleA mod created by Veqryn that gives UK a complex of its choice as a bid.

      I think the game would be better with starting complexes in Aussie and India but its tricky to work out the game dynamics without tipping the balance to either side.
