gamerman just informed me that it is not customary for the losing player to post the result, it is a league rule that the losing player posts the result.

so it looks like it is up to you to post the result. i believe it is also a rule to post a link to the game aswell.

It was a fun game. I am trying to develop a new strategy, with attacks on the strict neutrals. It has worked a few times, but I was slaughtered against you. Back to the drawing table :)

i like how this game you can attack the neutrals. however, the penalty is far too great. i proposed an idea when larry harris the game designer was taking suggestions to fix the game between global first and 2nd releases.

the idea was to have neutral blocks. so if you attack a european neutral the other european neutrals all become pro the other alliance. but the rest of the other neutrals around the world remain neutral unless they or one of the territories in their block was attacked.

as it stands now, it is a bad idea to attack the neutrals, unless there is an odd late game situation.

technology is fun, but a huge waste of ipc at their current average cost.
with tech tokens i would buy tech.

i will start a new thread for our new game

deadtom is outplaying me. i think the allies had a good enough lead to hold on to this game in-spite of my poor play and deadtom’s good play.

I think you and Young Grasshopper together might be right.  The G1/J1 combo is probably unbeatable.  The US may be forced to go all-in for Europe since  there is no way for them to save India.

Being able to bring 12 additional Infantry, would have been better for odds of victory for Germany.

But I suppose you are assuming there is only M2 units types available.
I don’t have Triple A Calc, but is it possible that 3 MechInf with 4 Tanks would have been better for Germany’s success?

Main things is that skew is always better and in very specific conditions a few Tanks maybe needed.

Yep, the extra movement is of course a special value, otherwise 9 arty would be the by far most powerful addition to the army :-)

And also yes, a mixture could be the optimum.

I have worn out the dice box does anyone know where to buy replacements?

Although I do love this game I must confess that the box got most of the wear and tear from me using it as my main rolling method for global.

It is great to be able to roll up to 12 dice for different units. If you have 4inf, 2 art, 3 tanks, 2bombers we do one roll in the box. First 2 dice are infantry, next 4 are artillery and upgraded infantry, next 3 are tanks, next 2 are bombers, and the last die is disregarded.

Much faster and great anticipation revealing the dice.

Anyone got a dicebox they don’t want?
