You should try balanced mode, a great development of the game including some extra NOs, some extra rules and a new unit, the marine.

It balanced the game quite nicely, making bids almost unnecessary. You should try. more information here:

How about making Sicily important!!

One of the major campaigns of the war is simply not a part of this game whatsoever. It should either be worth some IPCs or at least of value as an NO to the allies. Pretty ridiculeous that there is no reason to invade an island that was of historic importance.

same could be said for the Solomons too!

Since were all talking about G39…
Does anyone know if there is a simplified version of G39?
I have the latest map, it’s beautiful. But a little too complex and too many outside pieces required.
To me G40 is a great ruleset.

I would love to play a version that is G40 style with 39 setup on the 39 map.
It would also be much more appealing to new players.

I’m going to be taking a break from league play for a while once I finish up my other game. Hopefully we can finish our series in a month or two once I get a little un-burnt out :).

Thanks a lot to both players. Was fun to watch and I learned a lot.

But in the end the game did not give an answer to an “is bombers broken?” strategy.
There is no doubt that bombers are an effective tool, especially from Round 4 because in Europe they can attack any VC once deployed.

However the strategy “Bombers only supported by Inf-fodder from Novo and Ukraine” was imo not really executed in that game so I can just second allweneed that no rules adjustments seem to be necessary:D

no i want to play THIS game out.  since you seem to think you had it won.  :lol:  just be glad for the GIFT of life the ancients gave you - you would have been buried alive here.  :wink:
