I like putting a harbor and airfield early on in FIC. Harbors are pretty critical and I don’t think stacking in KWA on Malaya works as well. Sometimes stacking in PHI makes sense but you need access to land units for invading islands and threatening India is a good bonus.

I simulated an attack on SZ19 and it didn’t give me the option to retreat. Is there something with Kamikaze attack squares? Or can I not retreat if I have to use my ACs to land planes?
