How do you “vote” on what to see next?

    • RE: German tank killers useful?

A buddy of mine once kicked my a$$ (and the humiliating part is that it was his SECOND game ever) with a JagdPanther.  He would just roll up to short range and blast my tanks to pieces.

On the other hand, I’ve had some success with the Nashorn, as it would just stay a LONG distance away, and my other more heavily armored tanks would fill the gaps in-between, screening enemy units from it.

    • RE: Calling all Axis builders the King vs Vet

Yes, good call.  The Panther is a perfectly viable alternative, as the Germans are a little short on heavy hitters that are also decently fast.

    • RE: Calling all Axis builders the King vs Vet

In the last game I played, (June timeframe) I actually used both.  The odds were slightly in my favor.

Anyway, as far as which one I prefer… I might have to say the Vet Tiger.  It may have -1/-0 armor, and slightly weaker rolls, but Crack Shot goes a LOOONNG way.

    • RE: Why no MG42's ?

I think it has largely to do with snipers.  Since snipers were created, with their “Superior Camouflage” ability, MGs in my opinion have become somewhat less effective.

As far as the griping about the lack of a US MG team, it might just be due to historical inaccuracy.

Yeah, well, that’s who I was referring to in my topic when I said that I will NOT send any pieces until I get my payment.

    • RE: Reinforcements during game play

I’ve used reinforcements before, but mine were much more simple.  My opponent and I would build our starting army, at say, 250 points.  Then on let’s say, turn 3 or 4, we would deploy our reinforcements, valued at about 150 points.

    • RE: Set V Unit List

I’m intrigued!  How will they factor in the “Depot Units”?

    • RE: Ardennes Offencive OOB

Otto’s pretty bada$$!  His and the other Kommandos’ abilities seem like they would come in very handy during games.

What is this “Misinformation” ability you’re talking about?  Can you include their stats and whatnot?  I’m only curious because I know that they are not standard units from any of the sets, so…

DL, how do you factor in Otto Skorzeny and his SS Kommandos?  Are they just units that you guys made for this battle personally?

    • RE: Bad Traders

It’s been awhile since I got burned, and I haven’t seen the guy on here in awhile, but I figured I’d mention that bdbee screwed me over on a trade.  Maybe it’s because he lives in Canada, but I won’t be trading with him or anyone else from Canada (no offense) ever again.

      Here’s more:

      “You’re pooper than Will.”
“It’s time to go work on my project.”

    • RE: Inside Jokes

Well, at a party at my place, a buddy of mine had to drive a girl home, and she lived in Suffolk, which from Norfolk is a rather inconvenient drive.  Anyway, that became our rallying cry for that day, as well as a way of saying “Man, does that suck!” about anything.

The second one is just something that came up with a guy that I work with.  He was being dismissive, I asked him that, and to be a d*ck, he said “Whatever!”

    • Inside Jokes

Anyone have any inside jokes?  Here are a few of mine:

      “F**kin’ Suffolk, man!”
“Hey why are you always so dismissive?”
           “Whatever!”

      Ask and I’ll explain. :-D

Just pick up a Scrye and add up the prices of all the figures made thus far.  That should give you a ballpark figure of an accurate value.  :-)

    • RE: Superior armor

Well, as far as counters go, I can tell you this:  Disrupted counters do not count as permanent damage per se, as they go away after one round.  Damaged counters, on the other hand, are actually structural damage, and do not go away.  On that note, in order to score 2 hits in one round against a unit with superior armor 2, you must beat it’s defense by 2.  Normally, a unit without superior armor would be damaged if you beat it’s defense by 1, but not in this case.  However, it still gets disrupted by just equalling it’s defense.

      I hope that helped.

    • Best/Worst Pulls?

OK, today I got what I consider to be one of the greatest pulls ever.  When I went to my local store, I bought five D-Day boosters.
      The rares were a Vet Tiger, a Focke-Wulf Fw 190A, a Messerschmidt Me 110, a Lockheed P-38G Lightning, and a Hawker Typhoon.

Anyone else recall any particularly good or bad single purchases?

    • RE: Cover

I don’t have the rules in front of me, but I’m pretty sure it is once for every attack, even including the double-shot ability.
