RE: Convoy Disruption Game Mechanicposted in Axis & Allies Pacific 1940
Welcome to the forums.
As Witt allready suggested, the more pieces you bring on the board the better.
Holding back or savings is only good to spend it ob the very next Round for something bigger or expensive.
But this occasionally happens mostly for the minor Nations such as Anzak and Italy with sometimes very low income. -

RE: [House Rules] The Cruiserposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
I think the CR is fine as it is.
There are enough pieces at T1 to start with. Just bc it has a cost value doesn’t mean you have to buy alot or one at all, during your whole game.
BM3 managed to get more juice out of a CR without changing too much on a CR attributes.
You can Transport a Marine if you want to.What makes that game great is YOU playing it with your style and the benefit to HR it in your groupe if you want to.
The CR might be the “Hotels” for Monopoly.
They are in the box but you don’t have to bring 'em into Play if you want to win 😉.The CR is likely made as some sort of a middle unit as a A3 D3 but has no special effect (s).
Shorebomb is nice but this happens every once in a While…
My 2 Cents

RE: Monthly introduce yourself topicsposted in Website/Forum Discussion
@djensen good morning.
I remember that we talked about it on a similar topic in the Duscussion Thread a few month ago.
How to recognise new members and give 'em a warm welcome.
Most of the time we welcome them when they post something, but a lot of times we are not aware of them.
They may just looking for an answer and dissapear but this forum with his Platform has a lot more to offer. So a sort of automted greeter or even this idea of yours would contribute a Lot!
Would it not be Wittman who introduced through this site i would have just looked to my answer i was searching for and dissapeared as well.
My two cents. :ear: :moneybag:

RE: We need an allied playbook.posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
In logic, reductio ad absurdum (Latin for “reduction to absurdity”), also known as argumentum ad absurdum (Latin for “argument to absurdity”), apagogical arguments or the appeal to extremes, is a form of argument that attempts either to disprove a statement by showing it inevitably leads to a ridiculous, absurd, or impractical conclusion, or to prove one by showing that if it were not true, the result would be absurd or impossible.
Satis est!

RE: [House Rules] Should allies receive a bid?posted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
@seancb, i think you should join the League.
Play a few games to see wich Tier you belong to.
Maybe play a few high Tier Players and get your confidence settled once and for all.To me it sounds like you want to mess with the best.
League should be the way to go for you.
Looks like you ran out of competitive Players online.
Grab your chance here.😉 -

@Private-Panic it would be my pleassure.
The same Terms like last time with the same procedure like every year?? -
RE: Patron Badgesposted in Website/Forum Discussion
@djensen I like them all bc of the options you may have.
The first one is the regular one.
The second one for donating three years in a row or something like that. They are coming out nicely and represent more then just a simple color.
Good Job. -
RE: What are the pros and cons of no DOW on US by Japanposted in Axis & Allies Global 1940
If you NoDOW, this usually means you are after Russia and defeat China and stall the US in the Pacific.
UK will likely grow strong and a Calcutta Crush (CC) is almost not doable. This helps out Euro Axis alot.
BUT!:
If anything goes wrong with the german march on Moscow, you are screwed on both sides of the Map.I tried it over and over with minimal success.
Now i prefer a solid J1 in BM and Vanilla since the impact on both Theaters are enormous.
The US has to choose a side and need to quickly balance out the whole board.
UK has all hands full as well.A J1 is putting a lot of pressure to the Allies.
- a CC is very likely
- stabilize J’s income arround 70-80 ipc
- creating many Threats at once by better pistioning your self in the Pacific.
-better odds on achivieving all 6 VC’s
