      How’s it going… I got… distracted  :-)

What’s the best site for hosting a simple text document? Once somebody tells me I’ll post the draft of the numbers for review.

In a standard game without Italy I’d suggest allowing Germany to work towards both powers’ goals, but divide it’s point total by two.

How does one play low luck?

I’d be interested to see someone roll 1000 dice using DAAK, and tally up the percentage each number was rolled.

And explain to me how a carrier group has a fifty percent chance of destroying a unit of destroyers, even if it has no fighters attached. What does it do, ram the ships?

Why do you take empty territories during combat moves. I always thought combat involved, well, combat.

I’ve barely remember what regular pop tastes like - I’m a diabetic and so drink good ol’ sugar free diet coke.

And I’ve never played D&D   It sounds like fun though. Something to remember when I’m in university.

When I played with my friends it was normally KJF, with Russia fending off Germany as long as possible with limited UK aid. Needless to say, when I came to these forums my perception of the game changed dramatically.

Besides, you can’t accidentaly knock over the computer when you’re losing, can you?… well, I guess you could. But it would be a lot less convincing than with the board  :-D

    • RE: AARHE: Phase 3: Revised NA's

There power was very limited. Greece was an ‘Italian’ invasion, but German troops did quite a bit of the fighting. Germany did most of the fighting when it came to defending Italy as well. Italy may have had war ‘power’, but most of their fighting forces seem to have been German, or backed up by German units.

Perhaps Italy shouldn’t have IPC’s at all - Germany can supply it with 5 IPCs, 10, 20… whatever amount the players agree upon each turn. It leads to some increased co-ordination. Mussolini did very little without Hitler’s aid.

      That looks great.

A small concern - As UK in a game I’m currently playing with Botider I sent a DD after his Japanese transport first turn as UK. The DD was sunk, and the transport lived! Now this may half be that I’m angry, but I don’t think that makes sense. How can a transport group sink destroyers? Throw food at them?

It WAS in a table, but the forum chewed it up and spit it out like this  :-) I’ll change the abreviations to actual names

If you have any suggestions on value tinkering, please let me know. It was difficult to give Italy as many points as, say, Germany but I think it’s not to bad.

    • RE: AARHE: Phase 2: National victory conditions

I’ve been working on this a bit. Below you’ll find what should be a table, but will come out as rows of numbers. I’ll likely create an account on a file-sharing service to upload it when everything is complete.

At the end of the game, players tally up points for each territory they control.
The points from each territory are added to the points gained for satisfying specific ‘national goals’

Every country can gain an equal number of points from territory control. The same goes for national goals.

Here’s a list of territories along with their abbreviation, in case the one you use is different.

But it still is a new system. Every change I’ve read so far builds off of A&A Revised. This seems to be a new entity.

I think CA makes more sense for CArrier that Cruiser.

Perhaps add for the Amphibious tanks “cannot move more than 1 (or 2) SZs from a coast”. It doesn’t seem realistic to have a tank moving across the Atlantic or Pacific.

    • RE: AARHE: Phase 2: Units

That is kind of moving away from the traditional A&A feel, IMO. It’s more the beginning of a new boardgame (which we should consider after this project ) than a revision of the current game.
