I’m really suprised no one’s created somthing like this. There goes any chance of me playing AAM

RE: Yakutposted in Axis & Allies Revised Edition
Why not put the 2 inf from SFe and Bry in Yak, then move the forces from Yak and Eve back to nov, with 2 inf moving from kaz to sin? Instead of having 6 inf in Yak you have them in Nov, allowing for a much more flexible distribution of force (split between Sin and Yak, moving all 6 inf to one or the other, or moving the six inf to mos)…

v_v Why hasn’t anyone made a program?

RE: Try this…posted in House Rules
Germany would be powerful, but Japan wouldn’t be able to push nearly as hard at Russia. Those 6 inf at Yakut would last a lot longer.
SBR wouldn’t do as much, since their max damage would be capped a lot lower. Caucasus would only allow Russia to lose 2 IPCs, and main Russia would only be worth a maximum of 4.
Perhaps under this scenario the allies would need a bid? How the game would change!

Try this…posted in House Rules
Cut the IPC value of every territory in half (if a country’s final income ends in X.5 round down). I think that this would force players to play with more care, not being so ready to lose infantry etc. Thoughts?

A&A Miniatures computerized?posted in Miniatures (Original)
The board version of A&A has ABattlemap… is there an equivalent out there for A&A Miniatures? I’m interested in playing… but Warhammer taught me a lesson a few years ago, and I’m not ready to shell out more money for pieces I’ll rarely use :-)

Why not two ICs? You don’t even need a bid to do it - especially if the tran in SZ59 survives.

Umm… how can you research mathematics? I understand with physics, but otherwise…?

Do we need to re-work this from the ground-up due to the changes you mentioned?

RE: Change for Tech Rollsposted in House Rules
I’ve always wanted to play as a Germany that has rockets… Hitting UK and Cau, along with any allied IC built in nwy/weu etc… allas, my horrible luck means it’s never happened. Something like this might encourage me to try more. then again, it might encourage me to try more than I should. Besides, making tech this much cheaper might unbalance the game, no?

RE: Worst invention in man's history (and why)posted in General Discussion
I should start up a different thread to talk about socialism - I’d be interested to hear the response :-). While civilization has admitedly unified us and enabled us to make such great progress, it has sown the seeds of dis-unity. Class struggle pervades our life, and has since ‘civilization’ and provate property were conceived.

RE: Worst invention in man's history (and why)posted in General Discussion
Civilization doesn’t entail corruption and explotation - capitalism does. Capitalism is born from private property, therefore Civilization is good until it creates private property.
GG, a command economy and ‘Soviet Communism’ is not the only system other than capitalism. True Socialism - that’s what is needed.
Oh, in case all of you haven’t figured it out; I’m a Democratic Socialist. I believe in Marxist principles without the need for a revoltuion cue angry response from Republicans :-)
