    • Redinight(Axis) Vs. Admiral_Thrawn(Allies) Anniversary Edition

Hi, Grant. So basically were going to write out turns in this forum. Ok, so we’ll have this divided by phase and we can copy the phase steps labeled below and write out what we did under each step.

To roll dice, type in the following:

      <colon>dice ndm <colon>Replace <colon>with an actual colon “:”
Replace n with the number of dice to roll.
Replace m with the number of sides per dice.

Example say I am attacking with 1 infantry and 1 Armor and 1 Bomber. In this example you are rolling 1 at 1, 1 at 3 and 1 at 4. I would roll like this.

      1@1 - :1d6:
      1@3 - :1d6:
      1@4 - :1d6:

      Example -

      RUSSIA: Round 1

      PHASE 1: Research & Development

      1. Buy researcher tokens

      2. Roll research dice

      3. Roll breakthrough die

      4. Mark developments

      PHASE 2: Purchase Units

      Example:

      Purchase Units - Russians

      Russians buy 1 armour, 2 artilleries and 7 infantry; Remaining resources: 1 IPCs;

      PHASE 3: Combat Move

Here would write down were we are attacking and from where this attack comes from. Example:

3 infantry moved from Caucasus to Ukraine

2 infantry moved from Soviet Far East to Buryatia S.S.R.

1 submarine moved from SZ 4 to SZ 2

      PHASE 4: Conduct Combat

      1. Strategic bombing raids

      2. Amphibious assaults

      3. General combat

      Example -

      BATTLE IN POLAND
Russians attack with 3 fighters and 3 infantry

      3@3 - :3d6:

      3@1 - :3d6:

Germans defend with 1 armour and 2 infantry

      1@3 - :1d6:

      2@2 - :2d6:

After the roll we post our choices of losses and the Attacker decides to retreat or not and then it continues and we record the result.

      PHASE 5: Noncombat Move

Record moves the same as above.

      PHASE 6: Mobilize New Units

Record where your new units were placed and how many.

      PHASE 7: Collect Income

State how much IPC you are gaining from territories and National Objectives with a total.

Move on to the next Power. Questions or suggestions?</colon></colon></colon>

    • Western Front Blowup Board

Made this Blowup board for 1914. It covers the territories of Belgium, Ruhr, Alscase, Picardy, and Lorraine. When you move your troops into those territories they move onto the blowup board. The white line of Trenches is the 1915 line. It does count as a division between spaces, but beyond that it’s just there for flavor. What do you think? Any suggestions?

Is it just me or do the new WWI sculpts look cartoony? Overall I think they are inferior to the previous A&A sculpts for WWII.

    • RE: Results of First turn test play

Why is it that every A&A game the Germans can easily smash the British Navy. I mean come on…The Germans never even came close to defeating the Royal Navy in either war. They were totally outnumber plus the sizable French Fleet to back them up. I’m not saying the Germans should have no chance just that shouldn’t be able to just sink their fleet on turn 1 with ease.

      Your report sounds very fun!

    • RE: Unrestricted Submarine Warfare

They had the battle for the Atlantic right in the original A&AE. I feel like we’ve regressed from that. You could still make it work with rolls that take away income, but yes more then 1 IPC on a 1 or 2. Germany came close to starving out Britain. You could never do that with these rules.

Cool, thanks for answering my questions IL. The reason I asked about Petrograd was because the Russian Roundel was in Moscow area so that confused me. I love the detail of things like the canal in Germany and all the islands in the Med. What function does that Mideast Operations Box hold? I do like the use of the old style A&A Europe convoy boxes. How are ANZACS and Indian troops handled? No income or troops from Canada for the British Empire? That seems odd.
