Baghdaddy, I agree with what you are saying but, I also find extremely unrealistic to be able to raise the infinite infantry as long as you have IPC. Like getting 12 or 13 inf. a turn. At some point you run out of men who can fight.

It would be neat to have a more realistic setup and income level for the game. Maybe it would be too steep of a climb for the Axis to defeat the Allies but, if you did it would be that much more glorious! I have been trying to find the different powers approximate strengths in all the theaters but it is kind of difficult. I think you would have to put some kind of restraint on the amount of troops you could raise. Of course Russia and Germany raised millions of troops but, there is always a limit to your army. Germany should actually start off with most of there forces because wasn’t 1941-42 the peek for the German army?  Also what do you think the difference in representation of the amount troops a piece represents from Revised to Europe and Pacific would be? Has Larry every said what a infantry piece is suppose to represent?

    • RE: Axis & Allies Guadalcanal September 2007

This is going to be awesome! It should be even be better than BOTB. I went to Larry Harris Game Design but, it doesn’t seem like Larry is talking about it over there yet. I can’t wait to see the some images!

    • RE: Explain your avatar / screen name

Since Star Wars is my favorite film series and Grand Admiral Thrawn’s character is defined by his strategic brilliance I thought it was an appropriate avatar for an Axis and Allies forum.

When you wash the pieces do just use water or do you use soap?

    • Chinese Plastic Pieces

Does anyone know where you could get plastic minis for the Chinese? I usually use the yellow Japanese from original A&A. There was also the stupid brown colored Russian pieces from Pacific. One the things they should of done is have separate a mold for the Chinese men in A&A Pacific.

    • RE: How much does artillery help?

You sure get to roll for both Inf. and Art. I like Art it gives your stacks of Inf some more offensive power. They are also are cheap so can get a lot.

    • Trucks For U.K. and U.S.S.R, Japan

I have been wanting to use the truck pieces from BOTB for some of the other AA games but, there are no trucks for the other countries. Does anyone know where you could find AA sized metal or plastic trucks for U.K. and the rest?

Well, it sounds like I could still use it. So if it’s not too much trouble would you send it to me? My address is 301 Williams Street Merrill, Iowa P.O. Box 824 Area Code 51038. You should be able to find out how much it would cost to ship with that info so that I can pay you back.

Are all the componets of the game there? I don’t really care if the box is that good of condition but, just as long as all the pieces are there to play the game. If some of them are painted badly I get pickup extra pieces from Eagle Games.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a copy of Napoleon in Europe? It looks like a great game but, it seems to be out of print.

    • Extra Bulge Pieces?

As anyone found out if you can buy replacement parts for BOTB? Mine did not come with all the pieces and who doesn’t want more of those pieces anyway?

    • Too many Supplies for the Axis?

I have to say first that A&A BOTB is a great game. It adds new and exciting things to this line of great games. I have only the opportunity to play two games but look forward to many more. One of the things I like about the game is the supply part of it. It adds a lot of strategy. The one thing I feel that is a little awkward about it is that in my experiences so far it seems like there is never a time where the Axis would run out. If you get nine fuel every turn it just seems like even if I attack with every hex every turn I am stockpiling the stuff. There seems to me no great urgency to capture much of the allies fuel through the game. Does anyone else feel the Axis and maybe the Allies get too much fuel per turn?
