      Let’s switch sides.

      The Russian attack wasn’t necessarily a bad move, but of course declaring early isn’t that useful, maybe you should wait for the right moment to attack the Japanese with Russia.

      I’ll mainly say the mistakes I think you made:

      You buy too many AA guns, you rarely need more AA guns than what you start with, and it reduces you offensive capability as well. Don’t move out of Moscow if Germany only has about 70% on it, your Russian stack would have done way more damage if the Germans indeed attacked (which they wouldn’t have at 70% odds). You bought too much defence in London on UK1. Greece is not worth losing a transport except in cases like a G1DOW. You buy way too much offence as Russia, which never was enough to prevent Germany from advancing. You should start by building nearly max inf as Russia until the threat on Moscow has passed. Use the limited US production on the Pacific side to build a big navy if you suspect that Japan is making a late JDOW.

      I think that’s about it, I can’t think of anything else.

      As for USSR, I agree. But in the Pacific I think they helped a lot. Ok. tactical issue. I agree. I agree. Yeah, I thought I would throw U back with my offensive guys, but the Germans were too many. I thought U were planning to attack at J3, and that U changed Ur mind because of the Soviets. But I agree, I must use the 3 units per territory at maximum at Los Angeles.

      Ok, I`ll create new game. Germany goes.

      I have never been outplayed like this before.

      Maybe I can stall the middle east one more round but India is lost J5 in any case. At that point……  it is full usa Pacific. We all now what that means for G

      Maybe Taranto was wrong, maybe Iraq was wrong but in any case the other scenario would have been a poor choice too.

      What I think you did wrong:
      1. You overspent on defending London on UK1, 6 inf 1 fig is more than enough and you can do 7 inf 1 tp for South Africa if your goal is to keep Egypt.

      2. A combination of not sending the India fig and tac to Africa on UK1 to defend Egypt and not moving out of Egypt with the potential double. You should either make sure Egypt is safe or focus elsewhere and move out on the odds the Axis had on it.

      3. If you think Japan is going to declare J3, you should build the maximum out of Western US so that they can move into position even if Japan does not declare J2, while the fleet out of Eastern US is stuck there.

      4. Not too sure what your plan was with the UK carrier in South Africa, but Allies should put pressure on Axis as soon as they can.

      5. 2 US carriers in the Atlantic is often too much, you are better off having tps instead of them (and having UK support with navy a bit), Germany has a lot more pressure on it from transports than from navy.

      6. I’m not a fan of putting a threat on Tokyo as the US, I think it’s too easily parried. US is better off setting up in 54 in order to either force blockers or kill a couple of Japanese tps. Going to 16 puts the US out of position.

      I think that’s it. It’s mostly minor things. Hope it helps.

      It’s pretty greedy, but with other cautious UK moves (buying the rest out of London, not scrambling, etc) I wouldn’t sealion. Is sealion viable if UK is cautious apart from the fac buy? Probably not, which might be a small problem.

      Yah, i agree that its probably not viable right now, under that scenario (unless, perhaps, the tranny in 106 died, and UK trantoes)

      I wanted to play out the endgame to see what I can learn from it but I can’t summon the motivation when there’s no hope of victory and where every USA/China/UK turn is incredibly challenging and time-consuming.

      Outstanding Axis play by you.  The way you’ve established your position, Axis wins the game without being exposed to any real risk.

      I’m perplexed as to how to deal with your tactics on the Pacific side.  Maybe with a significantly higher bid China can get established without having to sacrifice India.

      The big strategic problem for Allies is there doesn’t seem to be a way to stop Germany from advancing into Cauc.

      I would like a rematch because I made some regrettable early mistakes and feel Allies can do better.  Still, at this bid against your Axis style it seems like Axis will win at least 80%.  Maybe a 2-game series at a higher fixed bid?

      Thanks! As Axis especially I minimize the amount of risk I’m exposed to since there is no need for it.

      Baring bad Japanese luck, on a J1 Japan will pretty much always be able to take India J4. Japan might choose not to in some cases, for example US going KJF.

      As Allies you need to leave bait around and hope Germany takes them and that it weakens them enough, but if Germany is going 100% against Russia there isn’t anything you can do to stop Germany from getting to Caucasus and beyond.

      Unfortunately I planned on this being my last vanilla G40 match (my revenge on you for 2015  :lol:), so except in rare cases I won’t be playing vanilla anymore. I do encourage you to try out the mod when you have the time and inclination to do so.
