@oysteilo Can you pinpoint something in BM that makes games last longer? My only answer is that sides are more equal, and since it’s a newer game people continue for a few more rounds before realizing they don’t have a chance.

@666 Thanks for the game! You need to be more aggressive as Axis for sure.

@oysteilo I’m not saying it’s not true, it is true. And it’s the result of a more balanced and new game. There isn’t that much more money going into the match though. The extra money mainly allows the Allies a better chance of not losing economic superiority to the Axis (which is good). Axis should be more aggressive or they’ll generally be grinded out if they take too long.

@Amon-Sul Yeah, a damaged BB can do everything an undamaged BB can do.

@freh Around 10 for Allies seems to be the average.

@farmboy Mechs are no longer just fast cannon fodder. They are more expensive and pack a punch themselves. Trading territories with mechs will now be more costly, as opposed to global where they weren’t much more useful than infantry once they reached the front.
Regularkid did a great job for the Russian territories, it’s much more dynamic for both sides with more choices to make. Perhaps he can talk more about his thought process if you want, but by playing it you’ll see what happens.

Farmboy (Allies+10) defeats Adam514 (Axis) BM3.
First league Axis loss, congrats to Farmboy!

@Amon-Sul If Japan attacked a Russian territory bordering Mongolia, Mongolia would turn Russian. If Russia attacked a Japanese territory bordering Mongolia or Korea, Mongolia would stay neutral. We removed those rules.

@Misterblue said in WW2 Path to Victory - Rules Discussion:
On that topic; Can you build a harbor and a capital ship in the same turn or do you need to wait until the next turn?
No you can’t, you need to have a functional harbor at the beginning of the round, so you need to wait a turn after building the harbor (TripleA handles that correctly).

@Gargantua The Allies did delay taking Paris even though they could have earlier in the real war. There are situations where taking Paris back is advisable, and it is useful to the Germans because of the factory and the airbase. Fast units are more expensive to mass just for defense too. If we give the option of liberating France, it would never be liberated and would be kept in US/UK hands.

@gamerman01 There was a map change, you’re still looking at the old map overlay while the code (saved game) was started on the new version of the map. Korea is fully enclosed in sz7 in the new version, hence why it takes 2 moves to get to sz20. You need to delete the existing PTV map and then install it again.
