    • RE: What is the Best Toy for Representing Submarines

@hbg-gw-enthusiast I bought some of these and they don’t represent the Type VII. I recommend XP Forge. I know the owner and he has the best 3D printed ships out there. I have used most of his sculpts to outfit my entire navy of all my nations.

Can you raid as an axis player the Soviet Artic convoy? There is no numerical value here.

    • KMT aligns warlords

If KMT aligns warlords do they get the income value of the land and can they move their units as if it were their own?

    • RE: Matching paints for AA OOB units

So I think I’ve narrowed down a few paints that match pretty close to OOB colors.
UK: Rust-oleum Khaki from Home Depot
Japan: Terra Cotta from Ace hardware
USA : Olive drab from Testors.

These both were spot on. I’m still trying out other paints from Tamiya for USSR and Germany.

I’m sure this has been discussed and if so can someone point me to the thread and if not what Tamiya or testors paints do you use to match OOB colors? Thanks…

    • RE: Sealion with Italy UK scrambling

      @Spendo02:

Pray the Italians were smart enough to SBR the UK’s AB before that happens, otherwise theres a bunch of dead Krauts in the English Channel.Â

That is a good strategy though!  Thanks.

    • RE: Sealion with Italy UK scrambling

So Germany, or in any case any nation would have to defend its own transports with its own fleet.  Interesting. Â

Reality would indicate that Allied ships could support an amphibious landing by the other nation and would.  In this case the Germans must of landed down the coast to where the Italians parked their navy to support it and were destroyed by UK fighter who knew exactly where the Germans were landing.  Larry slipped up there on the rules. • Sealion with Italy UK scrambling

Situation:  The Italian navy is parked off of Uk in the the straits.  It consists of a battleship, carrrier, 2 cruisers and 3 destroyers.  UK navy destroyed by Luftwaffe.  Germany builds transports, 10, and lauches sealion with only transports to the same SZ as Italians.  UK scrambles 3 fighter and….

      1)  Do the Italians help in the amphibious assualt by defending the transports from a scramble or because the Germans have no fleet all the transports would die?

      Thanks.

    • RE: Scrambling and aircraft carriers during amphibious assault

Alrighty then.  Case closed.  You can move carriers with any supporting ships when conducting an amphibious assault with the “anticipation” of scrambling.

    • RE: Scrambling and aircraft carriers during amphibious assault

I reread the scrambing rules and find no mention of this.  Unless there was an errata or some clarification from Larry, then moving the carriers is NOT permitted unless it moves them into a combat situation (ie ships present).  I guess BB and CR units will go up in stock now.

    • RE: Scrambling and aircraft carriers during amphibious assault

I disagree.  Per the rules of combat movement you can only move pieces that will go into combat.  Since you have no way of knowing combat will take place the carriers cannot move.  Scrabling happens after ALL combat moves take place.

If scrambling changes this rule, please let me know where because I lost 2 cruisers and 7 transports from this attack!

    • Scrambling and aircraft carriers during amphibious assault

      Game situation:

Soutern Italy is being attacked by US from Gibralter SZ. Italy has no fleet, but has 3 fighters in siuther italy ready to scramble from the AB.  US does amphibious assault.  They bring 2 cruisers and 7 transports.  They have in gibraltor SZ 3 aircraft carriers fully loaded.

Question: can US player move its carriers during Combat Movement to protect the fleet?
