Which version of the map do you use to play your games with?

Problem solved… Was able to see video by Variance on TripleA for begineers…

Had downloaded wrong file/game.

Thank you for the video… I was having problems and kept reading the forum and saw your post. One thing to point out is then when you showed in your video and clicked on the button that showed installed maps… WWII Global was not available on mine… I had to find it…

Hi All,

Just trying to play G40 and when I click on the Global 1940 with Canada House rules it loads and then gives the following error: Map missing:global_1940_redesign_house_rules, could not join
game. Would you like to download the map now?  Once the download completes, you may reconnect to this game… Choices yes or no.

When I click Yes and search for the file I am unable to find it… The program says there are no files with that name to download.

So where do I find it and are these the most update files to play Global 1940.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

I havent played a game of G40 yet… lol… Cant get the Triple A to work with the G40 map… says it is missing a file… Not sure what so I have to look around and see what I am missing…

Maybe in the future though… Thanks… My wife would love to go to Vegas again!!

Just watched your video on Meeplecon and YGs convention… Sounds like you all had a great time…

LaCrosse, Wisconsin area… not many A&A players around here…

But, I just got back into it and finally went into the local game store. I figure if I can play there I may find a few players in the area.

This web site is amazing. I have enjoyed it when I did use it. Thank you for having it and keeping it up. I can only imagine the amount of work that you have all put into the page over the years.

The only real Axis and Allies experience I have is tournament play at GenCon… – prior to 2005 or so… So long ago can’t recall… lol

Would love to play AAA with someone some time when I figure AAA out… LOL.

Hi everyone. Been a while but getting back into A&A now(12 years or so I think)

Does anyone know of any Axis and Allies events other than the following?  It seems most/all cons do not have any Axis and Allies events any more.

Very Nice map Nuclear.

One point I noticed was the are around Bordeax with West Vichy touching the Bay of Biscay. The Germans controlled the coastline without controlling Vichy. Maybe extend the Bordeax circle down a bit to compensate so that West Vichy has access to only the West Med?

Yes as other have asked. I didnt have a shortage of arty pieces at all???

I also have multiple sets but when we played the game last week it had enough.

I only paid $100 but I picked it up at Gencon so no shipping but I have the pieces…. Do gotta like seeing UK tiger tanks :P

Not bad for 100 bucks and 12 hours of playing with the first game.

I have this game. I brought it to the IAAPA convention and a number of us played it and we had a blast. Hard for most to understand that if the capital of Russia falls the game wasnt over. The German player had hoped so and stretched himself a bit and it allowed the UK to take Greece and set up a base there. The Japanese player never really got going… Got Peking and one other territory but that was it. Even losing Okinawa to the Free French!

I like the game. Will do more testing and turns take a while in the beginning but it is a great game to play. Enough with retreats and pass throughs to allow some long term planning. Best part was buying and placing units at the end of your turn.

I recommend this game. It is fun and a good addition to anyones A&A type collection.
