    • RE: 2 turn production - capital ships

      @Guerrilla:

      I don’t necessarily see the logic in it. The amount of transports needed to carry 2 armies might not require all the intricate construction of a small fleet of battleships, but that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t take just as much time…

      GG

      I just gave this suggestion because in many games I played, battleships take much more time to produce then other units

      What do you think of capital ships like the battleship take 2 turns to produce?

      @i:

      At best I would say “south Europe” nation should be split into
      Faction 1 Spain/Portugal
      Faction 2 Italy
      Faction 3 ottoman empire.
      And add Austria to Germany

      Austria to Germany is a great idea

      @Imperious:

      They are. The infantry are a bit small, but mostly because some of them are not standing in their pose.

      You’re right I checked in Board Game geek and they are the same size, sorry I saw in youtube

      @i:

      I don’t understand some of the combos you made, the Belgians+ the Dutch okay but Italy ottoman Portugal Austria and Spain wtf they have nothing incomin and are far apart opposite sides of the med.

      I agree but we are making way too many nations

    • RE: Flames of War Operation Bagration

      @WARRIOR888:

      Has anybody looked at the Flames of War board game minatures included in Operation Bagration and A Bridge Too Far?
      They have King Tigers, FW-190s, Panthers, UK 5.5 Howitzers, Shermans and SDK 251 halftracks, T-34s and several more.  The scale looks compatiable to AA units.  If these are compatiable it is another possible avenue for extra playing units.

      WARRIOR, if I’m not wrong ( I checked in YouTube ) Flames of War miniatures are much bigger than the ones in AA

      @Croesus:

      In an effort to beef the Dutch up  at home, I’m thinking about adding in the Danish Empire, which consisted of  Denmark, Norway, Iceland, and Greenland.

      Great idea, so how many nations we have now ?

      @knp7765:

      Plastic?  You can make sheets of plastic roundels like you do with the cardboard ones?  Or would these be already punched out?

      They would be like the grey and red plastic chips with something printed in the middle.

      That sounds great  but what will be printed in the middle ???

      @Variable:

      We need something for the middle east. I find there is a lot of action there and all I have for those neutral countries are the off-white Brits from D-Day…

      How about Iraqi/Saudi infantry or something like that?

      Persia maybe ???

      @knp7765:

      Hey 12doze12,
      Here is a little sample pic I took when I first made some of these roundels.  I was using the smaller image roundels at the time.

      Those look really good in the map but they are a bit weird compared to the other nation roundels maybe because of the color

    • RE: Neutral & Dutch Neutral Infantry Sculpts

      @coachofmany:

      I am already looking to do the Neutral set with the pieces that were asked on a previous poll but I would like to have a few infantry pieces since that is what is need the most.
      I will not make a seperate Dutch, Polish, Neutral set but will combine to make one set but in different colors.
      Please let me know your thoughts, I am thinking about :

      Dutch Infantry Piece
      Polish Infantry Piece

      Also rememeber that my Minor Axis set will have a field cap and M36 Helmet for the Axis.

      Any other Infantry you would like to see? Please list, then I will compile and poll the diferrent suggestions!

      Romanian, Greece, Spanish or Finland infantry

      @GoSanchez6:

      12 doze the pictures KNP has up are as good as anything I can put up there. they are the same thickness as europe40 and they are the right size. I think 2 sets cost me about 11 bucks. If you want them doze they are worth it.

      But I would like to see them in the map … xD

    • RE: The Dutch Diaspora, alternate AAG1940 playable faction

      @Weezer:

      I think it is an interesting point to add a dutch faction, but a little unneccesary as the game is complicated as it is. We could also see a bulgarian faction, finnish faction, Romanian faction (which I would actually like to see), belgian faction, polish faction, Czech faction…etc. but seeing as the only countries of these that had a colonial presence at the time of the war were the belgians and dutch perhaps we could incoporate the two into one faction. I think the idea of giving them brazil is a little too far fetched. I think the territories owned by the belgian/dutch should be:

      1. Angola
      2. West Indies
      3. Dutch east indies
      4. Belgian congo
      5. Suriname
      6. Sri Lanka (on lease by the british)

      delpoyments would be
      Angola: 1 infantry
      West Indies: 1 infantry, 1 airbase
      Dutch east indies: 1 submarine off of Java, naval base on java
      Belgain Congo: 2 infantry
      Sri Lanka: 1 Destroyer, 1 infantry, 1 naval base
      1 transport on a sz bordering London

      Special rules:
      the dutch forces can only deploy units on India or London, their income will be half of the value of the territories they control (7 ipc’s at the beginning)

      National objectives:
      The dutch will gain 2 ipc’s for every territory of the dutch east indies that the allies liberate or commandeer.
      the Japaneses lose 2 ipc’s per turn every turn that their is a dutch sub within 4 spaces of tokyo representing admiral Helfrich    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conrad_Emil_Lambert_Helfrich

      Germany: takes control of Bulgaria and yugoslavia during setup 1infantry on yugo, 2 on bulg.
      italy: takes control of greece and places two infantry there during setup and adds one infantry to their forces in ethiopia (anti-dutch congans)
      Japan: add 1 DD and TT to SZ 6, National objective +3 ipc’s for no dutch ships in the pacific (east of malaya, west of new zealand)  (seazones that include areas west of malaya/east of NZ are not included)

      I think this is a better  balance, I firmly believe that the dutch should not have control of Brazil or any industrial complexes, I think Sri Lanka is a more suitalbe addition then brazil because the Dutch had a small colony there and the British may have accepted a deal where they leased it to the dutch in place of the british taking ownership of the east indies.

      Angola was part of he Portuguese nation

      @Croesus:

      I agree with that, but is it enough?

      Side note-To make the game more exciting, I plan on using mainly 1885, with minor changes such as accelerating the Japanese to 1910, when they were touting an strong and growing empire.

      I know it isn’t enought but I don’t know which nations to combine more
