      I too love this game and cannot find a copy for a resonable price.
      I like the idea of making the italians by painting them.  I’m just not sure where to get a copy of the actual map.
      any help or links would be greatly appreciated.

      Well after a few months of just mainly playing global 40 now to play spring 42 it seems so small. I’m going to assume a lot of people have already done this, but compare the size of some places, like Borneo, Japan, UK, Australia they all seem so small compared to the huge board for global 40. Has anyone else felt this way when going back to play 42?

      Yeah, the African territories, France, China … It’s a huge difference

      Hello girls and guys,
      I bought some of the painted troops from historicalboardgaming.com for my global game. And some pro-axis and pro-allies neutral too.
      At first I bought them because of the better look of the game.
      Now I want to now, have someone played with this nations separetly? So does Canada has it´s own Income, when does their turn come and so on.
      Help would be great. Eventually I can buy some hungarian or romanian troops also if it works with the turn sequence and the game mechanics. Would be great to have more nations on board.

      Canada should have an income of at leats 10 IPC

      Well in my opinion i think that the IPC values of the Canadian territories would need to be changed, I think a good balanced income for Canada would be 8 IPC (what I use), their setup will be something like 2 infantry and 1 tank in Quebec, 1 destroyer and 1 transport in 106, 2 infantry in Ontarioc, 1 infantry in British Colombia and 1 cruiser and 1 destroyer in Borneu.
      I’m not totally sure about air bases and naval bases but 1 minor industrial complex in Quebec and no AA guns.

      National Objectives, I don’t have any idea.

      I think that Yukon should worth 1 IPC, British Colombia 2 IPC, Alberta 1 IPC, Ontario 1 IPC and Quebec 3 IPC.

      This is basically what I use, hope it works for you

      Canada is simply part of the UK: Europe economy. It uses the same pieces and moves at the same time, London is Canadas Capital.

      Finland is just part of Germany.

      My grandfather always spoke of this battle being his most difficult. His unit lost more men in the Bulge, but this Battle left more memories than any other.

      Alright, I am going to ridicule myself, but the end crowns the means.

      Here it goes: I REALLY don’t understand how to play AA Global with the different programs, and everyone here seems to have some kind of ancient lore about it.

      My friends and I have been trying to figure it out for the last couple days, as we are spread thin around the globe (pursuing various summer projects).

      I have downloaded AAbattlemap and Sgt. Wonko’s module.

      When I open AAbattlemap, it doesn’t take the nice layout and elements of Sgt. Wonko’s module. Plus, AABattlemap just seems to be a map in which I can move units around, but it has no game dynamics.

      So here are the questions:
      -How do I incorporate the module into AAbattlemap
      -How do I start a game with my friends?

      Really sorry about asking that, I genuinely feel stupid, but I feel like I have looked over most things and couldn’t find it.

      AA battle map is not “playable” is just to you see the map, instead use TripleA

      Hey everyone as I promised today I’m going to begun my project of the oil rules but first of all here are the bunker rules i’m going to implement:

      Cost: 12
      Move: 0
      Attack: 0
      Defense: 0 (AA ability)

      Bunkers are a defensive infrastructure that boost’s your infantry, making them defend at 3, this only work to 5 infantry units, bunker’s can take damage by bombers in strategic bombing raids.

      • AT ability: The bunker also make a special roll when there is a tank in the opposite army, the bunker rolls after anyone else and you get a hit if you roll a 1.

      AA ability: The bunker also has the same AA ability has any other infrastructure.

      • STILL TESTING

      So … back to the oil rules project, HBG no offense dude but I’m going to make my own roundels for oil and I will then decide if I’m going to buy your’s or use mine’s but, still your roundels are great and I highly recommend everyone who is making their own oil rules to use them !!!

      I will post more news Friday or Saturday…

      I understand where you are coming from.  Capital ships take 2 hits to sink, so they take 2 turns to build, right?  I do see the logic but I have to disagree with this idea.  Aside from Major ICs (30), Battleships (20) and Carriers (16) are already the most expensive units in the game.  Plus, if you add the planes for the carrier, 2 fighters (20), that brings Carriers up to 36, making them the most expensive units in the game.  Yeah, I know I’m talking about 3 units, but really what good is a carrier without some planes on it?
      I just think they are a big enough investment in IPCs already so you shouldn’t also have to invest 2 turns to get one.

      I agree with you, and yes that was what I was thinking of
