I took my 1999 Europe, 2001 Pacific, 2004 Revised, 1942, 1942 2nd edition, and 1941 and put them into Artbins. Like you, I left specific campaign, global, and AA50th in their boxes.
If this is the old CD game, what may help is disconnecting from the internet. That happened to me (loading up for one player) but when I disconnected the ethernet cable, it worked fine. By the way, if the thing does start working, SAVE FREQUENTLY!
I can’t get it to run behind my proxy-server. I can see one computer talking to the other on my router by neither copy of the program seems to notice the other.
Random crashes do happen a lot in A&A (to the dread of players everywhere) at any particular moment. I might help if you reinstall A&A or close all programs before running A&A.
