Nice story.

During the last session of our teaching workshop, participants were asked to state their personal goals for the immediate future.  One teacher vowed to update photo albums, another to lose weight.  The goal that got the most response, however, was given by a slightly out-of-shape kindergarten teacher.  “I resolve to exercise until I can complete a 20-minute workout in less than an hour.”

Yep, we were married on board the Kingston Lady on the Waccamaw River south of Conway, SC.  The cypress cove in one of the pics is where the actual ceremony occured.

We had a great wedding package… one check and most of it was handled… the location for the ceremony, our accomodations at a 4 star B&B, flowers, officiant…  everything but her dress, my tux, and the rings :-)  All we had to do was show up… Angel the day before, me the day of.

i was pleasently surprised at your listed “problems for continuing the trade embargo” - particularly number 4. Given this new perspective on the type of person i took you for, i was then re-disappointed with your subsequent posts

The truth must be enabled and tempered by both sides so it can be clearly seen like a forest thru the trees. My “experience” takes into account “your” sensibilities but the conclusions are different because we are arriving from different footpaths in the forest of our ideas. I hope that i disappointed you because to believe as you do i would be unable to leave this forest at night…

I believe a variation of DS’s “Oil is the worst thing for a country to have…” forum would go quite well here. The oil allows some of the Middle East governments to prop themselves up. Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Jordan, to name a few(and previously Iraq.) Syria has been using the UN embargo of Iraq to make money off its neighbor.

I do believe some of the leaders of some of these countries want to hold on to their form of government(the few making most of the decisions for the many) and their power as long as they can. The struggle for the leadership(prince v prince) is one example.
