You see what is happening here, there is a situation being created. It is the lack of game pieces, chips, paper money. After seeing WOTC bring the new horror of D&D 4th Edition into the world, I realized the length certain minds go to to get an extra buck. The D&D 4th edition powers all classes use to play the game, conveniently came in card sized format. I shuddered to think one day they would peddle these powers to their gamers in card format, just to increase sales further. I was not surprised when the first packs came out. There are other lengths WOTC went to to drain the player base of cash, but this is not the place. I just needed the one example.
Now I look at this plight with the Axis and Allies game. They could be intentionally creating this game piece shortage in the market by putting so few into the new games. WOTC runs the production, they hold the power. Soon they might put out “booster” packs for the games in the form of new IPC paper money, packs of mini’s etc.
Who knows what diabolical schemes are being hatched at WOTC HQ!
