My foe was not aware of this rule. Since my 4 fighters scored 3 hits along with my 9 attacking bombers 3 hits against all 6 of his fighters scoring hits I might suggest we redo that round! Thanks Krieg!
Escort and Intercept Fighter Clarification
-
I was playing a game of 1942 the other day and my opponent had a different interpretation of the “attacking and defending fighters” than I had.
From my memory: The attacking fighter hits on a 1 and the defending fighter hits on a 2 for 1 round of combat.
I interpret that as the escorting fighter hits on a 1 and the intercepting fighter hits on a 2.
He interpreted the attacking fighter as the interceptor and the defending fighter the one that defends the strategic bombers.
Can anybody clarify??? Thanks!

The attacker is always the power that is currently taking its turn. The escorts are the attackers.

That’s what I thought. Thanks!
