12 IPC Bombers…. Too cheap or just right?

Yes, the AA50 sub rules are a bit muddled, but the FAQ helps immensely.

There are no official rules on undoing a mistake, so you’ll have to work that out with your opponent.  However, many on-line clubs have procedures for such situations.  Maybe one of their members will suggest something here.

It’s important to not confuse your income level (indicated on the national production chart) with your IPCs “in the bank” (tracked on paper, or however you like).  Your income level moves up and down as you gain and lose territories.  As far as income level goes, you’re right that you end up back where you started if your opponent recaptures everything you captured.  However, during the Collect Income phase of your turn, you added the number of IPCs indicated by your income level on the chart to your “bank balance”.  Those IPCs are yours to keep until you spend them, so even if your opponent captures or recaptures territories, you will still have the IPCs you gained from them to spend on your next turn.

Ahh…(Light bulb turning on)  So thats where the paper comes in…i always wondered why paper was needed, when we have a production chart

Actually, Ukraine, Belorussia, and West Russia were part of the USSR, so its total value would be 31.

Oh right. Well for Russias modern map they have 24, minus Kazakh, Ukraine, Belorussia, and West Russia would be in their control as you said, roughly so about 24 I guess, a no that wasnt what I was thinking.

They do have West Russia

Thanks how the bomber rule for the factory

First, if the territory with the factory has an aa gun, it fires one die at each bomber. Roll one die per bomber and if it’s a one, then the bomber is shot down and can’t attack. Then roll one die for each surviving bomber. Add up the rolls and their sum is the amount of damage to the factory. A factory can’t be damaged more than two time’s its territory’s production value.

nice game.

had my first game of 42, was the axis.  Did the Bomber buy 1st round, scared the UK with the new sub rules as the baltic fleet moved into the Atlantic.  Scared the US away till turn 3 from landing in Africa and was able to combine on turn 2.  Pulled back Japan’s navy, killed the Indian fleet, then turned back on the US Fleet.  On turn 4 I was able to destroy both US fleets in the Pacific and Atlantic and took Australia.  A few Allied troops in Africa and had left India’s IC alone except for buffering around it.  Turned on Russia through China and after suckering the allies into throwing everything at Caucaus after i left most of the German army out to dry there, 2 Jap tanks were able to blitz from Sinkiang to take Moscow.  Allies gave up as the Axis ruled all but the North Sea.  Not too wacky of dice, save the loss of my German SBR bombers over Moscow.  
 I haven’t played AA50 much, but I am lovin’ the naval rules applied here!

gotta admit too that those new Russian ship sculpts are absolutely beautiful…sitting in the box never being used.
