Hello, I am interested in helping you create rules for such a scenario. To begin, I have some suggestions for unit and weapon rules.

D6 system

Land Units:

Infantry
cost-3 ipc A1/D2/M1 (A2 when supported 1 to 1 by artillery)

Mech Infantry
cost-4 ipc A/1/D2/M2 (A2 when supported 1 to 1 by artillery)

Artillery
cost-4 ipc A2/D2/M1 (first strike)

Self-propelled artillery
cost-5 ipc A2/D2/M2 (first strike)

Tank
cost-6 ipc A3/D3/M2 (can blitz)

Commando
cost-5 ipc A2/D2/M1 (target selection on a roll of 1)

Air Assault Infantry
cost-4 ipc A1/D2/M1 (M3 from airbase)

Surface to air missile
cost-6 ipc A2X3/D2X3/M1

Weapons:

Rockets

Cruise missile
cost-8 ipc M2 (launched from cruisers, destroyers, airbases and naval bases. Role 1 D6 for damage inflicted, 1-2= 1 hit, 3-4= 2 hits, 5-6= 3 hits.)

Anti-ship missile
cost-8 ipc M2 (launched from cruisers, destroyers and naval bases. Role 1 D6 for damage inflicted, 1-2= 1 hit, 3-4= 2 hits, 5-6= 3 hits.)

Sub launched ballistic missile
cost-12 ipc M2 (launched from subs. Role 1 D6 for damage inflicted.)

Intercontinental ballistic missile
cost-20 ipc M10 (launched from missile silos. Role 2 D6 for damage inflicted.)

Blacky’s WW1 map looks like it has The Great War map from TripleA as a base, then he probably used photoshop or similar software to change it.

I have been working on that stuff best I can. I would love to get some more play time in to expose any bugs, but there’s never enough time to do everything. I will keep working to improve it though!

my problem with German or Russian shock troops as infantry is that those units had alot of tanks, so why not just represent them with tanks.

For special  infantry they should be able to fall into one of the four catagories i already listed.

Maybe trucks coluld be an off board abtraction of the overall motorization of your army. Right next to your tech chips you would put the trucks you have purchased. Each truck costs 12 IPCs and allows you to make addtional attacks after your first combat phase. Each truck allows you to attack again with 3 infantry/artllery or 5 tanks/fighters/bombers even if these units have already battled. For the second attack tanks have a movement of 1 and aircraft of 3.You do not lose the trucks each time you use them and you can buy more of them each turn. You do lose one  truck for battles in the second attack phase for every 5 units the enemy kills, but only if you lose the battle.

I think 12 IPC’s is pretty costly, but that is becasue it is a special investment and is not neccisarily purchased every game by every country.

Considering all the feedback I have received from my first public release of Global Conflict on this form and other outlets, **I have now released my third edition of Global Conflict. **

It is much more balanced than before. Minor changes to setup makes Germany be a more threatening adversary. The Allied economic dominance has been addressed with modified convoy rules and also the edition of supply tokens.  Long game play time has been addressed with a new turn sequence which should keep all players more involved with very little idle time. A close competitive game with five players can now be completed in less than six hours. (This does not including setup). Technology rules have also been modified. Three new units have been included. They are Mechanized Divisions, Air Transports, and Cruisers.  (If you don’t have these units, replace all cruisers in the setup with destroyers, and ignore mechanized devisions and air transports.  Play will still be balanced)
