Pacific 1940 - Limited Edition or not?

Hi Folks,
if I had to choose, I would always decide my self for the Pacific. I prefere the huge naval/air battles over the large clashes of tanks in Russia or the battle for the Atlantic. And with the scale of A&A, the engagements between the German Africa Corps and the British 8th Army are merely a sideshow.

Good point! That would be a big deterrent to try to SBR the airbase.

I think it is a good game. Its pretty tough for the allies if the Japanese use the J1 attack tactic, but there are lots of ideas people have posted to fix that. Its required for global and I think that will be the best A&A yet.

Use the old Red Japanese A&AP Infantry for that - or potentially the old Yellow Japanese Infantry from A&A 2nd Edition.

Sounds like a good idea - care to post the full rule?

Has there been any confirmation of this as LIMITED EDITION?  A customer e-mailed me and asked:

“I have heard that Wizards of the Coast sent out a letter to all the retailers stating that AAP40 is going to be a limited print edition and that they are working on a smaller scale Pacific game similar to AA42.  Is there any truth to this?”

That would be lame.  I’ve bought two copies - for extra pieces cause they never give you enough :x
I’m thinking about buying a third one though because of this.  I’m glad that I bought 2 AA50 games last year.
