FMG Pieces Project Wish List

News!! Progress is coming along well, but still needs a lot of work over these few months.
My first beta setup and rules should be out early November or late October. I’m still working on balancing the setup but also balancing on also trying to be historical accurate. I made Italy a bit to powerful. I’m still working on rules and modifying. When my first beta version is out I will need playtesters so if anyone is willing I would appreciate. I will be play testing on my own but it would be helpful to hear other’s ideas.

I think you are making Block Houses too strong; all infantry defend @ 4? That’s too high. It should be a 3.
Also, if you use the HBG Marines and attack with a flamethrower unit, that should negate the block house advantage.

This is a very novel idea! Seems like board games are getting more like video games. I blame Civilization for merging the two ( and I own both board and video games  :-D)  Can’t wait to try it. We already have a “Risk” playgroup. This takes it to the next level. Maybe certain factions would only be allowed certain brands of alcohol…

I got a little greedy with this poll.  I voted for 8 pieces.  All 4 aircraft types are a must, plus the V-1 and V-2 rockets.  The Atlantic Wall gun emplacements seem like an interesting idea.  That would make it harder for the Allies to get back into Europe.

How about the Railway Gun?  You could make a piece like the monsterous Gustav 800mm gun.  What a cool piece that would be.  I wonder how you would actually deploy it in the game and what kind of values you would give it (movement, cost, attack, defense).  Perhaps it wouldn’t be a combat piece, but something more special like SBRs.  What a gun!  800mm is about 31.5 inches in diameter.  The massive guns on the Iowa class battleships are 16 inches.  Well, a piece like this may not be feasable, but an interesting idea nonetheless.

Hey coach, I was just looking at your list for the Axis Minors set and it says there will only be 2 Panzer IIIs per set.  About a week or so back, I could have sworn it said 4 Panzer IIIs.  I take it you decided to put in more of one of the other units?
I was wondering, when you get these pieces going, will you be selling them individually as well as in sets?

I am playing with the numbers and sculpts right now.
It is not always what I want in a mold but comes down to money. I will sell these as sets but will offer them for sale on individual pieces after a couple months. At least that is the plan. You might even see it in another set of German pieces.

While I rather like the idea, India is basically a power. But upside down turtle fmg is not even done  Italy.

Ditto here!  I hope this really can be a fresh start this year for FMG, for sure, and I too wish I had a boatload of money I could invest.  I did make a modest little order to show my support, though, and to express tangibly that “no hard feelings” on my part.  Just remember, we can forgive a lot, but if you don’t tell us what’s going on for months at a time, we don’t know if we should even risk making orders for “in stock” items, as we might fear the company’s going out of business and can’t fulfill them.  So please, please keep us posted… And just as important, is not more so, keep in touch with Coach!  And please coordinate with him more closely in the future when you’re ready to roll out more new products… (…last I checked we were headed for a situation where we were going to have 3 different companies doing a Tiger I and none doing a Panzer IV, for instance…)
