I bought a game called Europe at War by Xeno years ago. I wonder if its the same. I remember it wasn’t very good and the only thing it really had in common with A&A was the pieces.

Man-o-man! That’s nothing like what I’ve seen. The two expansion packs I recall were less than 3 oz. and smaller than a new comic book package.
Have you been able to play on the MSN Gaming Zone with directx9.0 using the technique you describe?
