@zooooma I see no indication of anything even remotely about AA games, but more fantasy titles being worked on which is typical of WOTC. they choked the life out of Avalon Hill until it was dead. They could care less about anything remotely Historical and only deal in FANTASY. Nothing but a bunch of fat slobs with pimples rolling for hobgoblins, etc.
AH 1942 edition to be released in August
-
yes, you did the right thing, as always. :-)
-
Pre order is the way to go….
-
Here’s an interesting point… according to the game’s website (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=ah/welcome), the Anniversary edition has over 600 pieces whereas the 1942 edition only has 370 pieces. Any idea what could cause this large drop?
-
Maybe they chose quality over quantity, but I wouldn’t hold my breath,
-
Take away the Italian and Chinese pieces.
-
Take away the Italian and Chinese pieces.
And reduce the number of Infantry and other units included for each nation. The Italians and Chinese don’t add up to over 200 pieces. Other cuts would most certainly be required.

-
…then we all must order 2 copies, and more money to the chimps at wotc

A new edition of A&A is to be released in August 2009.
There is a box to the right on this forum, showing it will sell for $39.95 and the Anniversary Edition for $97.99, however, when you click on it, it sends you to Amazon, where the regular edition is $125.99 and the Anniversary edition is $399.99. I doubt they will sell very many.
