I was up at 3am then (guess why?), and saw Nightline bring a live report about the miners being saved.  Actually, I came in the middle of it, and thought it was an old video of the PA rescue.  A couple was standing there saying that they got a call and rushed over, but couldn’t see the individuals because they needed to be checked.  Nothing specific was being said.  I wondered: is this real?  Could they be dead and they don’t want to break the horrible news?  I was informed the next day that they only found 1 alive, in critical condition.  What is his status?

I hardly think the situation is laughable.  They were intending to give great news about a near disaster, that in actuality turned out to be false.  I would shame them if they rushed HORRIBLE news, which seems to be the standard for most news these days.

i cant recite it forward, let alone backward. I can do the greek alphabet forwards and backwards however, since 5th grade. cant make the symbols though, never learned them.

And in response to the africa comment, if the germans can secure africa, the 40 or so IPC investment in conquering it is made up in a few turns.

Well if you get it working I would like to try and play it out some time. My philosophy seems to be a bit different than many people who post here, and I would like to try my strategies out against a fresh set of opponents some time.

I have a lot of experience playing the game but have never played online. Perhaps this would give me the chance to get a game or two under my belt before hand.

If you get it working let me know and we could work out a time to get a game going.
