Triple A Login Issues

I still noticed one issue which is that the arrows don’t show when I move my units. Good info showing unit moves, etc.  However, when the AI moves arrows are drawn on the map, so I not sure what the issues is here.  Maybe somebody has come across this before?

Strange - I have never heard of that before… sorry.

One idea though… start TripleA and hit “Engine Preferences”.
After that hit “Set Look and Feel”.
Try another scheme and see if your problem still occurs then…

I think there might be one kind of in development but not as a huge priority, since it requires adding new mechanics to the TripleA engine.

I made a representation of it for myself with what mechanics worked, but a) it required some bit of editing for the stuff that didn’t and b) I lost the most recent version that was a significant upgrade in terms of editing-intensiveness. And I haven’t been motivated to remake it to that point. I might be wrong, but contested territories not producing and single round combat might have been some of those features.

If you really want to alter game-mechanics, in other words create a mod, you have to alter the XML-File in the map-folder.

To do this open it with a program, I prefer Notepad++ (free download), and change what you want.

The XML of map PactofSteel2 has almost every game-possibility explained, so is like a modding-guide.

all right, thanks! Thats what I did too. looks like it is not possible to put any british units in pacific for bids. Did various testing! (at least on my computer!)

Online, you enter into a lobby where people host games. There you can join games to play… or watch if it has already started. These games are live.

Play By Email… well, of course you’ll need the emails of others. I think everyone has to register to the dice server, TripleA should tell how to do it. But you get spammed a lot from the results of the game. So I’d recommend using a new email just for this if you decide to play it by Email.
Games by Forum or Email aren’t live of course. You get the results uploaded and then when it’s your turn, when you’re done, you post/send your results. TripleA conveniently does most of the work itself for that, I think.

And if you got a buddy right by ya, you could just play a local game.
