I hate triple A. The aesthetics are a disgrace. not worth my time under those conditions.

I was just wondering if somebody experienced this problem:

I run Axis & Allies on a 1300Mhz computer with 4MB video RAM (Windows XP). It should be more than fast enough.

However, during play the graphics keep slowing down 'till everything is very, very painful. I’ve tried running it in W95 compatibility mode and updating the drivers for my graphics card, but nothing seems to help. Again, when starting the game everything is fine, but it gradually “freezes”.

oh and so far as strategy goes, I’ll argue that russia is the most important figure. if they stack up a defense against you, and you are looking at a battle of attrition in karelia- I’d pull back your forces and and go all out for africa. but if they leave you an opening - hit them. but don’t jepordize your tanks. and if they attack in T1 just drive around them. that’s less of them you’ll have to kill later.

I like your thinking with your awesome offer to host the existing alpha version again though. Hmm, I wonder why the author didn’t just go oh cool… here ya go. Well hopefully someone that snagged that alpha download will peek in here yet… hopefully. If you have the ability and desire to host… we really need to get you a copy of that file somehow! The website states the Mac version sports over 75 different units… 75! Yes, this I have to see and play. Anyway, I really appreciate your follow-up.
