I had the same problem with my friends, and so far everyone else has been right. If you could send as many troops as possible UK wouldn’t even be worth picking, cause the’ll die pretty quick!

I don’t see what you mean here, I would say it’s better to be UK, because they’re the ones who are likely to have transports and a chance to use them.

I’ve run into the same problem. Sometimes the game freezes. It doesn’t happen much, but it does happen. The AI on the computer is pretty bad. it always plays very defensively.

The main problem I don’t like about a IC in South Africa is that it takes too many turns to move units anywhere. Once Africa is liberated, that IC basically becomes defunct. Also, I think that US is the key to Africa, not UK.

An IC in Kwantung is the best build of the bunch, but I say wait until at least J3.

In my ongoing game with Cystic Crypt (see Games Forum), I am having good results with a new strategy. As the allies I have built many bombers and many ICs. The ICs do not have AA guns, so when the Axis takes them, I am getting a free round of SBR without worrying about AA shots. Also if the Axis chooses to build an AA gun, then that’s 1 less ARM for the Allies to worry about.

Consider that I left Karelia defended by only 2 inf in Russia 3, and the axis refused to take it because if they had taken it I would have gotten 5+ SBR rolls without AA gun shots to worry about.

I guess the revelation for me during this game has been that ICs without AA guns combined with bombers can make capturing those ICs a real pain for your opponent. Of course this only works if you opponent can’t bomb you in return.

I still don’t know if 2-hit BBs is a good rule for Germany–I guess the pluses for Japan outweigh the minuses for Germany.

Just IMO,

Bad Play = US goes into the Pacific
Bad Play = Germany overextends itself (Early Karelia attack)
Bad Play = Britain overextrends itself (ICs in both SA and India)
Bad Play = Russia not prepared for the Japaneese
Bad Play = Japan Not performing Pearl Harbor Turn 1

Again, just my opinion for each country.
