In that case, any hits scored by the fighters have to be assigned to the AC. The only units that can hit the subs are the cruisers and that is only if the subs decided not to submerge. Plus they would get their suprise strike. They can submerge because there is no enemy destroyer. Basically, destroyers are anti-sub units. Also, remember that hits scored by subs can never be assigned to aircraft.
China - infantry numbers and national objectives question
-
Yes, it’s a Chinese unit, so it counts.
Krieghund, don’t the instructions say that the fighter is an American unit (even though it can coordinate attack w infantry), which would imply it can stack w 3 chinese infantry?
-
For what has been said up to now the fighter starting in China is a chinese fighter able to move and attack together with chinese infantries and so it IS a chinese unit. It have the same miniature used for USA fighters but it is not a USA unit. If an USA fighter land in china it will have to be distinct from the original chiense fighters.
For this reason it counts toward the limit. -
Thanks, Romulus!
I think the source of confusion on this is that the setup chart says “(US)” next to the Chinese fighter. That simply indicates that the piece is a US fighter. The fighter is treated in the game as a Chinese unit in every way.

You are welcome Krieghund.
Moreover, you have already answered to this question elsewhere.
As for other question that are asked again.
Maybe trying to search in other threads before answering could be a good move!

I think I will use an old Xeno piece for the China Fig to distinguish it apart.
