UK:         5 if Allies control E and W Canada, Gib, Egy, Aus and S Africa.
              5 if Allies control any original Japanese territory.
              5 if Allies control either FrNce or Balkans.
Japan:     5 if control all: Manc, Kiangsu and French Indo- China.
             5  if con 4 of: Kwant, EI, Borneo, Phil, New Guinea or Solomons.
             5 if control one of: Hawaii, Aus or India.
US.         5 if con all West, Central and Eastern US.
             5 if con Philippines.
             5 if Allies control France.
             5 if control 3 of: Midway, Wake, Hawaii or Solomons.

Check out the A&A Variants forum where there is a sticky about a company called FMG that is producing sets of pieces for each nation.  If you can wait till he has all the molds done, you can get any nation you want in new high quality plastic pieces.

Most of the stores I go to that are into selling board games, fantasy accessories, and RPG’s have these in limited stock. But they still have them, usually at $129.99 CDN

I paid about that for my second copy in the spring - about $150 after taxes.

The game is still sealed in its original shrink.  I am willing to sell it but might prefer to trade it for a game (or games) of roughly close value.  The games I want most are listed here on BGG:

This makes common sense. I discussed this issue with Larry, and will edit in a link later. But the importent here is the production rate. The ship movement dont fit into this, because it took 12 days to cross the Atlantic, not 3 months.

When it comes to speed of play, as you put it, that is very a difficult issue. In the 1939 startline we had no guarantee that WW II would go on for 5 years. If UK, France, USA and Russia had attacked Germany in 1939, then the war would have lasted 1 year, because of an alternate decision. If Hitler had not done all his mistakes, the war might have lasted for 10 years. Just look at the Vietnam war, that lastet for 20 years, in one tiny territory. And the Iraq war 1990 lastet 100 days. The speed of production are fixed, the speed of movement and play are not.

Always had Germany play Italy, as it’s the extra play where in AAR it wasn’t a case to think about what to do with the teritory in Italy that Germany had. Think just comes as a norm.

Or…let the two Axis plan Italy together, be more team bonding.

It’s like if it’s 2 playing Allies… the UK player would play America, or play US as a team.

Yes, I built a factory in India and Australia. The Japs went for Australia first but I was able to delay them with two of my destroyers so that Aussies could build two infantry before they could get there. Added to the already 3 you have plus the artillery, the AA gun, and an American fighter and bomber that landed there. Since he was after the Aussies this gave time for the Indian Factory to build 3 Armor plus the 3 infantry, 1 Artillery, and AA gun that are already there. I was going to send my South African troops to help in Egypt but, by this time the Axis was already losing in North Africa and I sent them to India. I considered building a factory in Canada to avoid the German Air power when I built 1 or two ships near the UK when my fleet was in the Med. In the end I didn’t but it would have been nice to have. There should be the ability to build in all of these areas from the beginning. Looking at the '42 scenerio it looks very hard to build a factory in India without losing it right away.
