A good A&A player would generally tell you to build 6-7 inf for each arm unit. This helps you protect the armor and ftrs you have on attack and defense. Remember, infantry = fodder, while arm-ftr = 1-2 punch by one player. When G & J apply it to R it hurts. When UK, US & R(inf only, until you see that the inf you have starting turn X outnumber the inf+arm+ftr G will have after his build on turn X[unless UK & US are shipping inf to reinforce your position]) apply it to G it really smarts!

Mobster, sorry, but you lose in Alaska as I build US inf & arm in W US each turn and move it - US2 to W Can - US3 to E Can - US4 to UK, Nor/Fin, W Eur or Alg.

If you hit Mexico my W US force of 6 inf & 1 arm(minimum, likely extra arm & ftr) hits your force.

If you hit Alaska my W Can force of 6 inf & 1 arm(minimum, likely extra arm & ftr) hits your force. Note: If I’m really worried I’ve flown my bmr from UK to join the attack and land in W Can.

Send it to the Atlantic, build an IC in South Africa, and have some fun! 2 Subs/turn can really piss the allies off.

Hmm, sounds like ya’ll play with some serious contenders. I don’t know even what RR stands for but i do know this. I like the challenge of playing the axis against all odds. Sure the game is slanted against you, but damnit… I’m gonna try my best to wipe the allies off the board.

Likely the guys I’ve played against just suck, but as germany I’ve kept the seas clear of allied ships for 3 rounds or so and always have moscow by turn 2 or 3, it is usually a bit gamble but it works. As japan, I’ve been notorious for assaulting the US navy and invading alaska with 4+ troops on turn 3 while still having secure boarders in china.

Spread thin? Yup, Gotten beat, you bet… But I’ve won nearly 60-70% of the games and always made 'em sweat. So I say bring it…screw the bidding and the RR…Damn the torpedoes and stuff. If I wanted a fair game I’d play Candy Land with my 2yr old.

I read somewhere that until VE-Day, the US was spending 90% of its war production fighting Germany & only 10%(!) vs. Japan. In a lot of ways, this is because Germany was a more high-tech and economically powerful country. With just this amount of material, the US production capacity was so great that they could attack vast island fortresses w/ a preponderance of well-trained men & planes.

Whoa, I do know that the US navy is the Pacific was very, very big.

There is a mythical Japanese strategy out there that has yet to be discovered. It involves Japan putting equal amounts of pressure on Russia and the US with the idea that Germany would have some relief from the US but would face more pressure from Russia.

Anybody want to move to New Jersey, become a US Senator, accept bribes, only have to give the non-financial gifts back, and get a slap on the wrist from the US Senate, while the dude who bribes you has to serve time in prison? Reminds me of the good old days back in Chappaquidic(sp.?). Sorry, just got a little nostalgic.
