Thanks to his bump, I think I have my answer.

Hmm,  :| something about Afghans in cowboy suits…random, yet it kind of works in a finny way… :|

I think all the units, and particularly naval units have been handled very well in AA50.  I don’t think they can add anymore units or do much better with design for this type of game.

No, all combat movement must be completed before any combat begins.  The declaration of an amphibious assault with a preceeding naval battle is the only exception.
