Yes, Panther is correct. An important additional note is that the attacking transports may not unload during non-combat. Anything that is on board stays on board and remains vulnerable to sinking.

It was just a way to conveniently organize the rules, plus it keeps the resolution of the sea and land battles for each assault together.

Sorry about that…I don’t know what I was thinking when I posted. The dd would obviously cancel the sub’s special abilities.  Thanks for the clarification and reminder.

Yes. The only units barred from ending the turn in a newly conquered territory are air units.

It should be possible. Once cleared the sea zone is friendly and then naval units may move in or through them.
