I am not sure Napoleon was ever really himself after the Russian campaign. What he expected after his victory at Borodino and what really turned out was very different. Expecting the Russians to surrender only having them chase him all the way back to France may have put some doubt in his mind. Maybe that doubt is what affected his decisions at a place like Waterloo. I know in sports that if you loose your confidence it can be hard to get back. I imagine the same could be said about war generals. Just a thought. Enjoyed the post.

The key is to get your kids involved. I have 5 boys and 4 are actively playing with me (also their friends). Now, playing Axis and Allies is just being a good Dad.  :wink:

Exactly! Had a great game of global Friday night into Saturday with my 12 year old as Japan, myself with Germany and Italy, my 15 year old with Russia and China and three of his friends dividing up the rest of the allies. Their all hooked… The wife was elated.  :wink:

Obviously I am a split in my views on those points, but with a slight imbalance to “Peace” (but my “War” points are the most strongly held…)
