Day of Defeat (the Half-Life Mod)

Happy Fathers Day to all the players with children (hope you’ve had the chance to play A&A with them).

Spent five hours playing A&A this Fathers Day with one son and the other son who is living the dream in Colorado sent me this drawing.  He wishes he was here playing as well.  It’s been great to share these games with them over the years and in the years to come.

I screwed up the movie time and had to watch it in 3D. This was my first 3D movie I’ve seen in theaters since Ice Pirates I think, back in the 80’s. I wear glasses so I’ve always thought today’s 3D glasses were a pain in the balls but they weren’t bad, just wish they were larger. I kept noticing the frames during the movie. George Miller said he made this movie to favor the 2D experience but the 3D version will “hold it’s own.”

The good news Tom Hardy fans, (myself included) is that last month, he signed on for 3 more Mad Max films!

I don’t like 3D in theaters for the same reason, frames get in the way of the big screen experience.

Him signing on is just a precautionary obligation actors are asked to do which makes the prospect of additional movies likely. If they want to make more money with a sequel down the road, best to have the actor in your pocket first… it doesn’t mean there will be more, but with the success of Fury Road and the demand for hero/villain action flicks that look like they were ripped from the pages of a graphic novel , it seems like a good bet that there will be.

Yea and i bet the normal dinner time for them is 2PM…and they wake up at 4:30AM to get ready for the day…of watching TV?

Hence the reason I had it plated.  You don’t want to fire a plated weapon, you’ll just damage it.  Though, it is built to knock low flying planes out of the sky. :P

Anyway, I have an M1911A if I want self defense.  That or my darrenger would be okay too (built to sting, not kill).

CC is hitting on something important here. There’s a whole other universe out there and what we know as the basic building blocks of life could be radically altered somewhere else. I guess the question is that if we encounter such a thing, can be classify it as alive? Time will tell. I think what CC, was referring to about viruses being machines was no so much in a metaphorical sense (as animals being machines), but in the fact that viruses are unable to replicate without a host cell, and therefore are typically not considered living organisms.
