Not really. Converting units is not moving units. As Russia always starts a new round, the allied units that are to be converted have moved (at latest) in the round before. In your example it is true that they move in two successive turns (USA then Russia), but these turns belong to different rounds, and those units still only move once per round.

Most important territory?

I’d say either Persia or Novosibirsk.  Reason is, if the Allies can have a strong stack in Persia it really distracts Japan and secures Africa.  If the Allies have a really strong stack in Novosibirsk it pretty much secures, forever, Russia.

Just my impression.  Could be wrong.

As far as Sea Zones go, I’d say SZ 6 is the most important.  If you’re strong enough to sit your fleet there, you’re already technically in possession of SZ’s 5, 3, 4, 2, 8, 7 and 12 and by extension the entire Atlantic Ocean.  If you are not strong enough to sit your fleets there (as the allies) then you are losing to Germany, even if Germany does not sink your fleet.

I sent a pm to rjclayton a few days ago when this first started happening for us, informing him of the error.  He seemed to be one of the folks most closely associated with TripleA based on some of his posts.  I don’t know if he was the right person or not, but I haven’t heard anything back.

I do have to agree, working the summary manually has been pretty easy, but I think there’s a bit more controls in place if it’s all done in one step.  Not an issue for your average game, but if things get crazy competitive it’s something that might be nice to have for game admins/judges.

I vote for tokyo express + bombardment. The sub combo is nice but Germany has very little need for subs because he has to prosecute a land war against Russia as well, so the interdiction would be better if you want to play the economic shutdown with subs, but interdiction doesn’t really combine well with super subs since the subs you’re building aren’t necessarily attacking anything (in fact they’re probably getting hunted by planes).

Tokyo express and bombardment turns destroyers into a hybrid transport/battleship, which I think it very helpful for prosecuting island wars and such. For the price of one battleship you can get 2 bomabrdments with 2 destroyers, and they can carry 1 inf apiece too! That would be great to take back islands or invade US with all those bomardments and you could easily reinforce manchuria and the like.

Bombers are ok but still they’re expensive and you need to build stuff to shield them with as US; all you’re doing with heavy bombers is nearly guaranteeing a hit per bomber and/or getting high IPC damage rolls. Although this possibly could be very strong against germany if you land bombers in UK, getting the max 10 out of his territory every turn.
