I got carried away and excited.
Cromwell will have a better idea.
Building on the WTC site

Well I’m all in favor of seeing the Democrats take a dive. :)
-
Its not actually against the law.
Before the deadline, you can freely change the name on the ballot, no problem. There are no complications. After the deadline, its not that you cannot change your name on the ballot, but you need a court to say you can.
And 6 of our 7 Judges were appointed by Republicans, so don’t complain )
-
It is my understanding that the deadline was 51 days before the election. the change was made 36 days before the election. The NJ Chief Justice said it needed to be done “so that the voters have a choice.” They have a choice. One is Republican and four others deemed “insignificant” by the courts are on the ballot, too! It’s nothing new. As many as 30 House and Senate races currently have only one major party candidate on the ballot.
Torricelli has not resigned his Senate seat, but has declined to run. The Republicans may push this in court as a forfeiture of the race.
I find it interesting that these developments, tantamount to winning or losing control of the Senate, were not covered on any network news tonight! -
The Dem hopeful, Laattenberg(sp.?), made age an issue 20 years ago, when he ran against a 72 year old opponent. Today Lautty is 78 years old!
I heard on the radio that in 1998 he voted against the death penalty for terrorists convicted Of murder on American soil. There were more problems listed with Lauttenberg’s history … Many of which, I’m sure, Mr. Forrester will be happy to bring to the voter’s attention. What’s NJ gonna do bout dem absentee
ballots already cast fer Torricelli? - Xi -
Yanny,
NJ has a tradition in which the current governor selects Supreme Court Justices from the list of recommendation submitted by the previous governor.
The factual political history of the Jersey Justices is 4 Democrats, 2 Republicans and one Independent.
-
Well, the tradition is the former Gov advises the new Gov, but the new Gov still makes the decision to appoint which judges.
-
I will repeat the final point.
@Giantsfan:Yanny,
The factual political history of the Jersey Justices is 4 Democrats, 2 Republicans and one Independent. -
they should make a huge building on stilts and put the memorial underneath
-
Would that make it a little flimsy? :-?
-
From what I’ve seen of the final choice … I’m not crazy about it.
It will stand 1776(cute) ft. tall … the tallest building in the world … for a while.
It will leave memorial pits where the old buildings(2 out of 3 which fell, tower 7 fell, too) stood. A waste of economic and political space and power(which fights terrorism.)
I preferred another choice. Oh, well!
