Different Country allies?

Hello all,
at first sorry for my english, because I am from Czech republic. I have problem with my Axis and Allies game. I have played about 65 rounds now and in this time game typing error message something as “LOG file is full” and is impossible to continue with playing game. If I choose Load Game and click on saved game, the game starts as New game (on start). Folder with save games (Autosave and my 1 save) has about 50 MB. Thanky you for help !! thank you very much.

I’ve made up my mind to get the game.

I do that quite often. Usually when I’m trying out a new strategy or when I just feel like playing :D .

I’ve run into the same problem. Sometimes the game freezes. It doesn’t happen much, but it does happen. The AI on the computer is pretty bad. it always plays very defensively.

What is your game plan. What are your goals. How are you coordinating the 3 allies to achieve those goals? What are your opponents goals? How can you block him/her from achieving those goals? I am not talking about taking a capital as a goal. That is the end goal. I am talking about short term goals. (e.g, take and hold Western Europe. Hold the Yakut Sinkaing line against the Japanese for 4 turns. etc.)

What is your overall all strategy? Your goals are steps on the ladder of your strategy to victory.

When you can answer these questions, then you will find you will fare better in your games.

Lastly, be flexible. You will lose important battles. Plans will be countered. Be ready to adapt to these events. Balance risk of loss versus risk of gain. Retreat is often the best thing to do after a bad roll of the dice in a big battle. Reinforce and try again next turn. If you can’t wait for next turn, then you are being outplayed. Study and learn why.

I have recently used this strategy without Russia Restricted and it doesn’t work. Does any body know how I can change it so that it will.

delay your Japan moves by a turn. I.E. J1 purchase your trn and inf, start the japanese push, and then for J2, play it as you might have played J1.
not tried, just seemed logical.

Interesting idea with the Pacific theatre. That’s probably the easiest way to lure the U.S. into a delay tactic. Probably still requires taking out Pearl Harbor first.

And, yeah, I know, I’m a pretty strict player. I play ONLY the odds on rolls (something my opponent hasn’t quite got the patience for yet; I’ve broken his thrusts at Eastern Europe and Germany countless times this way) and all. I just think there must be a way to position units so that the true intentions are hidden from the Allies, and he must respond. In general, I think this is the key for the Axis… having units (armor!) in position to shift anywhere across Asia, threatening everything at once… but wondering if there were other places that anyone could think of.

I think that if Germany falls, Japan still has a shot at winning. In one game I played, Japan had already taken Russia and was pushing into Ukraine and Kerelia. However, Germany surrendered to the Allies on the very next turn so it was USA/UK vs. Japan. If I remember the calculations correctly Japan was making around 69 IPCs a turn with UK and USA at 77. For about 50+ turns, trench warefare waged across Finland, Eastern Europe, and East Africa with Naval and Aerial battles raging across the English Channel. My God it was great!
