Thank you. I still make plenty of models, I just have to spend less time posting them. I have way too many irons in the fire, but I wish I had time to post all the stuff I do. A lot of it, I paint, let dry, then pack and ship, thinking later “oops, I didnt scan it”. :(
Thanks. I have been called McGyver in a coupl eother sites I posted these on now. For this to be compared to McGyver, they would need to be able to fire whole cabbages at the bad guys and knock them out … oh wait, that was the A-team.
Thanks!
Here are some I made for a customer. Unlike the others I am about to post (that I made for myself), these are all permanently mounted armament, with a bit more attention to finer details. I snuck in a couple SD250s with mortars, cause they are permanently mounted weapons, but the 2 plain sand ones are for my own army.
Also, the 2 flame throwers are for my army. Those have electical wire for the fuel hoses, and included are the fuel tanks and pumps. Those have more detail than I normally do for my own pieces - mainly cause I plan to use them in every game I play.
Not something I have done before, as I have never wanted to cover up all those details. These ones were sprayed with a texture, which I dry-brushed with brown. It stuck to the texture and made it look dirty. But it wasnt enough. Today I mixed some wood putty, brown paint, and fine sand. I then dabbed it on. It is caked n the treads and at the rear, where the treads would be flinging it around.
I even added mud where it would have been flung up by other vehicles or nearby explosions. The mud was inked with brown afterwards and sprayed with clear.
