Chaos in the Balkans:
Hungary and Romania are at war, Germany has annexed Austria, Yugoslavia suffered an unfortunate die role and has been forced to disintegrate into a Pro-Fascist Croatian state and a smaller Serbia. Italy managed to seize Albania without loss, and Czechoslovakia is reinforcing its border with the Nazis.
The UK has pledged to declare war on any power invading Greece.

Swedish Disaster:
The Swedes attempted to peacefully take over Norway to prevent any major nations from entering Scandinavia, but the plan backfired. Not only did another unfortunate die role cause the Norwegians to resist, but the German and British players were offended by the assault, and Germany turned a blind eye to a British force that liberated the Norwegians and devastated Sweden’s hopes of a powerful, neutral, United Scandinavian state.

Spain in Flames:
The civil war rages on in Spain, just as a deadly naval encounter ended in mutual annihilation for the Nationalists and Republicans. The free world does not want a Fascist Spain, and the U.S. Player has sent generous air aid to the Republicans. With Franco’s Army of Africa having headed for the mainland, I, as France, took advantage and seized their Moroccan colony. Unfortunately, I earned a -1 diplomacy points for this “aggressive” act.
Breaking off the War at Sea Planes from stands and using them for Revised ?
-
I just bought a load of War at Sea Miniatures what were all planes. My intention is of course not to use the planes for playing the War at Sea game, but break off the planes from the plastic stand and use the painted planes for the Revised and AARHE game map…Has anybody done this? Can the planes be broken off the stand in a way that they are not damaged>?
I bought destroyers and cruisers too because the scale is still within the scale of Revised pieces, while the Carriers and battleships are way too large.

IL
I don’t have experience with those models. But I found some 1/700 scale aircraft made by Trumpet http://www.hobbylinc.com/htm/tsm/tsm03418.htm?source=froogle I found these to work well with A&A.
-
I have like 300 of those. I latter decided that i wanted something in plastic that would stand above land units in cramped places or to replace carrier based aircraft to enhance the aesthetic.
I will unleash lots of pictures soon of this 6 month long project to get all my pieces painted. They are incredible… most easily the best anybody will ever see done.

by the war a new Advanced Axis and Allies Europe game is coming out next year by Larry. spread the word.
-
Try heating an exacto knife and cutting them off.
-
I am keeping them on the stand and using them to seperate them for naval fighters because the sea zones are larger, while on land the stands take up too much space.
-
Great Idea, I haven’t picked up any WAS, how does the size of the planes compare to the stock A&A fighters?
-
they are a little smaller
-
Sounds perfect for the ACs have you figured a way to put magnets in them?
-
I only got my ultimate painted metal set last Thursday. Tomorrow i pick up German luftwaffe and Kreigmarine.
I may do the magnet thing… not sure until everything is ready.
