Possible free For All?

My only reason to play is to demo that the compact power of Germany’s starting position makes them the most likely to win, even with the extra Techs/NAs for USSR and UK.

Also, this will be my first experience with Techs or NA’s in Revised.

Are we doing Techs OR NA’s?

I am thinking NA’s…  When I jumped the gun and created that thread to early, almost everyone ended up with Super Subs (even Russia)…

And I agree that we use LHTR 1.3 (the set currently in use for Tournament and League play).  I still have not reviewed 2.0 to evaluate the changes in detail yet.

Well, I’ve only played 4 games with the new LHTR and won all 4 against a superior player, but I’ve played dozens with the 1.3 NAs and those seem at least balanced, mostly.

I’d have to say the NAs would have to be chosen.  Each nation can chose 1 in turn, then Russia choses a second, then England choses a second.

Let’s make it quick! NA can be declared on Purchase units each country’s first turn. I want to play soon

The extra for UK and USSR should be random (and of course Joint Strike is not an option and would be re-rolled)

Damn, I just typed up this long post to get the game underway, and we are back at 6 players wanting to participate…

If this keeps up, I quit.  I don;t want to discuss this, I want to PLAY it.

Handling the NA’s…

Step 1:  Roll the random one for USSR and UK (do that first so that no need to re-roll duplicates; only have to re-roll Joint Strike if it comes up).

Step 2:  Roll random sequence to declare NA’s (since people who declare later have a built in advantage over those declaring first)

Step 3:  Create the game thread and Russia 1 does its move!

Lend-lease should be re-rolled too, as is useless. Do you roll both USSR and UK?

And I’d say let people chose their first NA on their first turn and Russia and England can chose their second NA on their second turn.  No need to re-roll duplicates then.

I am not willing to allow TWO hand selected NA’s.

The extra one for UK and USSR will be random, or you can count me out (it is too great of an advantage otherwise).

If USSR and UK agree, I’ll roll dice here using the in-site, we can determine the randoms, and then the order for NA declaration…
