Pregame write out a mission / tactic / objective for each nation. Then refer to it each turn turn to keep you honest.
Germany could be complete sea lion
Japan could be conquer China and India
Etc etc

Here are some of the rules I liked that are different:

Naval spotting - makes sense, maybe add +1 to spotting roll if sub or plane present.

Research - I’m assuming those are free rolls.

AAA - firing before each round.  At 5 planes seems a bit steep.

Cruiser (AA) - That’s a house rule I already use.  Makes them a little more useful.

Railroads - I’ve seen and used them, but with a limit to units moved.  But since your limiting it to 2 spaces.

Research Focus - A research tech for your research roll.  Brilliant!

Heavy transports - Another one in use.

Sonar - Interesting concept.

Not sure on the “Dodge” concept.  Thanks for the listing of your rules.

I used the OPs NAs for the first time last night. We rolled 2 d6 to see which NAs each country would get. I was Germany and got the V2 Rockets. Instead of having the UK surrender the IPCs to the bank, we did like a SBR and placed damage markers under the IC. Together with a 1 bomber SBR, the UK IC had a stack of 12 damage markers under it which the UK decided that all damage markers needed to be removed. We really enjoyed playing with these and will be adding them in again two at a time until we are familiar with all of them and then have all of the NAs for each country in play. Nice job and thanks for posting the NAs. These kinds of things make AA42 an even better game.

once you got the rules worked out, it will fly really fast. you still have lots of questions so well address them here and get you going. Tekkyy will make clarifications when issues warrant them.

Another way to make it more fair.  Give Japan all of the Western hemisphere US territories.

The way you have it set up is:

Ger + UK + 50 % of US.

vs the original setup of GER + Jpn.

In my estimation, Ger + (any other country) makes it an interesting and usually fair game.  Adding any more to that will unbalance the economics and/or require a military offset.  You may want to also shift the order of nations in the round to prevent the taking of capitals at the game outset.

I thought i might just bring up this old post out of of the blue because the funny thing is the units listed in many cases became the various new units over the years.

Cruisers, BB price drop, Mechanized infantry, Artillery, fighter-bomber, etc…
