Well apparently they’ve actually lowered the number of dead to 4 … so that’s good news.

I believe they’ve only CONFIRMED 4 dead so far but they expect that number to rise.

Maybe we need to pay more attention to our infrastructure and less attention to socialism?  How can we afford universal health care when we can’t even keep our bridges maintained?

Yes, there are still many unaccounted for.

Oh, please.  You were banned from PD, so don’t bring it here.
    Nice strawman, btw.

And I did mean confirmed sorry

its true though, why waste the money when we need it for other things.

i’m sorry for those people, i live by the missouri and i go across bridges quite a bit.

Nice strawman, Jermo, but my point is valid.  We cannot even afford to keep our bridges from falling and killing out citizens, what in the world are we doing courting the financial disaster of universal health care coverage?

If we have SOOOO much money in government for wasteful programs like this, why can’t we hire the unemployed in this nation to maintain the bridges?

  • Please keep this as a GD discussion and not a PD discussion.

    Thank you all!

I don’t think it’s a political discussion to demand that the government first take care of making sure our bridges don’t kill us before finding new ways to spend our money.  I see it as a civics discussion, or a fiscal discussion, or a discussion about common sense, etc.  But has nothing to do with politics.
