That’s why under Caspian Sub and tripleA ladder rules you can’t attack an enemy capital with ground troops in your first turn.
Like you mentioned, it turns a wonderful game into a coin flip and spoils the fun.
I’m at work and was wondering if anyone can post a link to an image of a game map that is set up before USSR takes its first turn that is big enough that you can still read the names of the countrys and determine the different units placed on the board. Thanks.
download AARHE map with ‘unit icons’ make sure its not the version with Italy. Then you can Jpeg it just for the area you need.
look under house rules section.
That’s the thing, I generally log in from work and I can’t download anything here.
Look at the Games in Progress section. There are screenshots of games in progress there. Generally, you can see the board after the Russia1 move. There’s a thread somewhere around here listing the starting units and territories.
Best I can think of offhand.
THANKS!
